Would feel I would be unable to go into Boots and say I want to buy some cosmetics ie lipstick etc for myself and help to buy some cosmetics. Also going into a beauty salon for a makeover.

Why not buy on line first to build up the strength and courage to follow your heart.

Stay frosty out there.!!!!

You could always just buy your cosmetics online instead.

The people who work in the beauty counters in the stores in the big towns and cities will probably have been approached by men wanting advice for themselves before.

Some make up artists will come to your home or have a seperate room at theirs they use. Many offer make up lessons and can suggest products. Please don't be sexually inappropriate with people who are just doing their jobs though.

When I first started wearing makeup I did exactly that. Went into Super drug and said to young assistant that I required some make up to try and make me look convincing as a woman.

It was fun and I was nervous but the assistant was wonderful. Advised me, told me how to use it, what the difference between each item was etc. I know always go there for make up.

There's guys in the make up adverts on the TV these days, I'm sure you won't be the first to go in and buy for yourself.

I like the thrill of lingerie shops and cosmetics shops to seek advice and by the products.

I’ve often bought make up and lipstick for a lady - especially at the duty free in an airport

Don’t use myself but never found it embarrassing

I think in the current climate you will not get face to face advice. I’ve been to Boots to collect a prescription today and the staff are PPE’d up like heart surgeons!

Boots No7 do a colour match service for lipstick and foundations. You should ask the assist to try this on you.

Dont go into these places hoping for some kind of sexual thrill OP, these people are at work and will do their best to help you as many of them are trained to help men look for things like this, especially the make up counter ladies who are fantastic with me.

Just imagine how you would feel if a family member worked there and some guy came in wanting to get his kicks from them while they have to go home feeling a possibly violated.

Yes I know this as I've had the conversation with one woman who helped me in Boots, they really do want to help a lot so you get the best advice and learn from them but they dont want to feel weirded out by you.

Go in and ask, tell them it's for you as you'll get the best advice that way.

They can tell when a guy buys make up for himself claiming it's for his wife vs a guy really buying it for his wife.

They just want to help you that's all and they do appreciate you being honest with them.

It's the same in most shops to be honest and every one I've gone into have been brilliant with me.

Just dont be weird as it makes it harder for the rest of us.

Going into Boots and doing this for sexual thrills using the staff is selfish and creepy.

Some times it helps if you green arrow the op of a thread to maybe get an insight into the mindset of the op and your reply was very firm but very very fair.

Absolutely this. Don't involve other people in your kink when they aren't consenting, it's weird and violating.
