When is it time to stop swinging?

Only time to stop is when you cant do it any more.
There is no retirement age on sex.
Obviously as we get older the number of possible playmates diminishes, but it is unlikely ever to dry up completely.
Not until in our dotage anyway ! |

"Do you think there's an age cut off on when someone should give up swinging? "
I think people should keep doing whatever makes them happy for as long as they possibly can. Life is too short! |

I had a close vanilla friend I knew well.
He told me him and his wife got into the scene in the 1970's via the naturism scene.
Whilst he always worked hard to maintain that all over tan, he said he found himself on the outside of the swing scene when his wife passed on having lost her to breast cancer in 2002. It would seem their circle of friends were all couples of a given age.
Its just a shame to think when life deals you cards like this, the folks you've known and played with for many years then keep you at arms length because your nearest and dearest passes away. Difficult just doesn't describe it, so here's to living for here and now! |

"You'll find that there are fewer people interested in meeting you as you move up the age scale. Swinging sort of gradually gives you up rather than the other way round . "
Nicely put. Those damn birthdays eh. |

I'd say it stops when it's not enjoyable, no longer gives the sense of anticipation and excitement.
We've decided to knock it on the head, lockdown has helped with that decision. Too much effort for so-so experiences imo.

Sometimes wonder why we do. It is very enjoyable when we do, but so many fakes and time wasters on here now, it does make it difficult.
With the Covid night mare going on, wondering if this Natural break is going to help us make up our mind. We haven’t missed it, but didn’t live and die for it like some do anyway.
Oh and yes, of course we realise we are of the certain age now anyway |

I have to say I'd rather keep having birthdays than the alternative |

If you feel the urge you should continue to enjoy sex and swinging for as long as you want.
Try and keep in good shape because there are many sensual older people who still want fun. |

Hope not! My fella wants to carry on into his 80's.
Alass I've seen that profiles with much older men, over 60+ don't get much play. Although there are some that do. Before I get shot down. I've seen lots of single ladies and couples where the lady is 70+ still active and gaining veri's.
We don't have a sell by date on our swinging lifestyle. |

We are both 53 this year. Have great sex together. Clubs seem quite before all this and aware you attract less attention, apart from 65 Yr old males with pot belly creeping around her, she hates that.all aware youth and the fit body appeals, wish we were still in our late 20s or early 30s. Only did it for some fun, not a need and I think we are naturally drifting away more and more, guess it happens at some point. |

We’ve only just started at 50 so we’re hoping for a few good years.
When the buzz goes that’s time to stop l guess.Hoping we will have made some great friends by then to still socialise with if nothing else .

Some really interesting and thoughtful replies - thanks very much everyone
I'm noticing I attract less (welcome) attention these days which makes me question whether I can be bothered with it all lol
Trouble is, I do love sex |

"were at the age when we should give up but still enjoy clubs and parties even tho our chances of playing are limited(very) but the odd bit of excitement keeps you going"
What do you mean "of an age"????
We say if it feels good for both of us, we will keep having fun |

...and we bet you get plenty of offers to extend your "hobby" |
