I think that hold ups are only for women with thighs that could crush a man's head. I much prefer suspender belts as the stockings aren't as tight.

I love stockings. They accentuate the best in the leg, the suspenders are usually quite dainty, lacy and very feminine, and because they do the work of holding up the stocking there is no or very little line left when they eventually come off
Plus I think a lot of men love the look and feel of stockings too (probably wouldn't wear them in public though ). |

I think men like them because they are sensual and erotic to see legs encased in nylon up to the top of the thigh where creamy flesh is exposed.
I always wear stockings because I wear corselettes and girdles and they always have suspenders attached. I like the straps and I agree with Laine that it makes a lovely frame. Its sensual and elegant at the same time.  |

In his (G's) case, conditioning! Old enough to remember before tights became popular, when girls wore stockings, and has happy memories of sliding his hand up many stockinged legs until his hand reached bare flesh - still thinks their inner thighs are one of the sexiest parts of a female.
A lot of early sex was hurried in case we were caught - skirt off, knickers off but stockings and suspender belt still on. That's still standard 'working uniform' for working girls.

Last Thursday when summer suddenly arrived in Lincolnshire I went out to the local Prezzos in a flowing white cotton skirt, tshirt and bare legs. It felt great. At other times hold ups are comfortable and convenient out and about as long as they 'hold up'.
At clubs and in the bedroom I prefer to wear a suspender belt and stockings. There are two reasons. The suspender belt, stockings and a thong frame everything very well, particularly my bottom. Being stroked through the stockings (or hold ups) feels lovely.
Tights do little for me except but they do keep me warm on a cold day.
