This is likely to result in a ban or the thread being closed

Administrators and moderators of Fab have a lack of consistency in my opinion.

Some will accept photos others will reject.

For example photo rejected as 'you are not in this photo's

I have seen loads that are clearly not the profile person in the photo, cartoons, abstract images, cars etc

Would I be unfair in saying that there is a degree of inconsistency from the Fab administrators and moderators?

They're volunteers. Stick with the rules, never mind anyone else's picture. Other sites available.

They get hundreds of pics daily to moderate and there maybe some pics that fall thru the net but remember they are doing this in Thier own time

Volunteers or otherwise surely some consistency is not too much to expect otherwise there is no point in having any rules at all.

So they have to take a test or just volunteer?

But which ever there will always be different opinions of what’s acceptable and what’s not

The fact they are volunteers I think is the problem. You can’t expect a full professional service from a volunteer. I’m sure acts of revenge have been carried out multiple times.

Some are slightly more relaxed then others but then you get that in every situation where a group mind the masses, from photo mods to the police force.

I have no idea how many photo mods there are but have you ever just quickly scrolled thru new pics? I hate to think how many get submitted hourly

It is not a biggy.

There maybe the odd non conformative photo but very often and not, they say so much about the person and convey their personality.

Rules should be for guidance and if there is no harm done and if the pic raises a smile then imho they should be allowed to fall through the net

I am guessing you have had an experience of this judging by your remarks?

I totally agree. It can be frustrating when one of your pictures is rejected because "you're not in the picture" but you accept it because it's against the rules. But it really pisses me off when you see another new public picture which blatantly breaks the same rules but has been approved.

Admin is admin and mods are mods!!!

It’s their game their ball hence their rules and yes sometimes us mere mortals get their rules wrong but I’d rather have them policing the site then not to have them and have no rules.

I shouldn't think this warrants a ban. However I do agree with you about Photo's. Over the years I've been on this site I have had a couple of photo's rejected, so I've waited a couple of days then submitted them again and they have been accepted.

O o O oo

There are thousands of pics being uploaded every day, add to that that humans are doing them means mistakes will be made.If we report the mistakes we are helping Admin to deal with it

If you think a mistake has been made with your own pics then leave them in your gallery as rejected and contact Admin from the contact button and they will review and fix if need.

PS pic mods have a set of rules to stick to, if they consistently make mistakes they are removed

Admins guidance on threads like this is for mods to give advice then close it. If you don't like that guidance you need to ask Admin to change it , you can do that from the same contact button
