In the USA , a certain subset of religious leaders are urging their flock to donate regularly even though church services are being held virtually...

They claim this for the church....

But if a religious organization is not holding in person services.... There is no need to heat/cool and pay for water for the church....

visiting the beach

I never have, and never will.

However, just looking at the church as a business. They will have other standing costs, and employees.

I imagine they still wish to pay these?
