Collars can have multiple meanings to different people - for some they're paper collars that are discarded and changed as often as people have hot dinners, for others they're a temporary symbol of submission during a given scene and for others they're as significant a bond as a wedding ring and remain on permanently.
For me one would probably sit somewhere between the last two - not sure I would or could wear one 24/7 but they would have a deeper significance than something put on just for a given scene (even if it came off at the end of that scene).
I do like the symbolism of a collar though and the individual significance they imply |

I've got quite a few. The significance of which varies according to situation, time and place. Its not 24/7 with us and I can go months without wearing one because life events get in the way.
It's always interesting to note the reaction of the people we meet in swinging circles. |

I like the aesthetic of a collar whether heavy and obvious, slim and almost playfull. I also like how pearl or velvet chok ers look.
Each one has a different story personal to the person wearing it and who they are with. They are much more than an object.

I have a black leather one bought from a guy in fuerteventuran market. He made personalised dog collars. Mine has kitten written on it in diamanté. Certainly opened his eyes to a whole new client Al when I popped it straight on and said "will this work daddy" to hubby hahahaha ha |

Wearing a collar full time is something I would love but not something we're able to move forward with as yet. So I wear a collar often when we play, again that can take on different connotations depending on weather I put the collar on myself whilst getting ready or if Ben puts it on me. We wanted to find a way that symbolises ownership without being too obvious. I'd had Ben tattooed on my wrist years ago so we made a little tweak and added 's so it now says Ben's. An added dimension to that was that I had it done at the same time as Ben had a new tattoo and mine was done with the same needle. |

D has a day collar and a play collar.
They both have a huge meaning to each of us but life does get in the way on occasion.
We have found that with the play collar in particular there can be a lot of mis-understandings so sometimes choose to not bother with it unless circumstances are right. The day collar never gets noticed so that works for us anyway.
We love to play with other ladies who enjoy a collar but that's on the rare side  |

I wear tags and chains 24/7 with inscriptions of ownership . They jingle under clothes all day long so i know they are there , sometimes they wrap around my nipple rings and give a little tug . I misplaced them a little while ago for about a week , i felt lost ...

I am not the type of Domme who wants to control a sub 24/7 in all aspects of their life. It is only in play when I put a collar on my subby, but when it's on and until it is removed it means I have their full attention and control of their body and mind.

Have a padlock necklace and mini handcuff bracelet  just as a reminder I'm always his, but when in a club I can play, want a collar but needs be comfy that says something like "NAUGHTY" OR "deviant" as opposed to slut, only my other half gets to call me that |

Rebecca has a few collars, some which can be worn more discreetly in public which still have an edge about them to which people in the scene would probably question whilst out.
I love putting a collar on her - seems when collar goes on, she changes and becomes very naughty!
