Because lots of people prefer the reassurance of being able to see verifications that show someone is genuine.
Many newbies also fail to read the forums to get an idea of the best ways to present a profile to get positive responses to messages.
I would suggest getting yourself to an organised social in your area so you can meet folks and maybe pick up a social veris or two. That will show people you are real and more likely to turn up if invited.
I also cant understate the value of reading the forums to get a picture of how things work in this lifestyle and on this website. So many make assumptions about what it's about and what to expect and make mistakes as a result. Good luck with it all  |

Where do you get that information from ? . I disagree with that . I personally know a lot of people on the forums that I've met at club's and socials. The forums are a great place to meet And chat to swingers I think you may have been misinformed with your statistics. Just saying  |

after 26 years on the scene i can assure you my statistics are ok all im saying is you dont have to be part of the forums to get it right the forums are a very tiny part of fab |

Stay away from the forums. In general the other part of fab is more friendly and more chance of meeting them.
Sadly it’s a case of who you know and if your face fits on the forums |

Only a fraction of site users use the forums, yes you may meet the occassional forum user in a club but out of approx 31K on line at present how many use the forum? I seem to remember 1 -2% being quoted in the past so in the grand scheme of swinging he is right. We have met and played with a few clubbers recently who are not on fab. |

Ive only been here a few months and I can see that people use the site in different ways according to what they want and what they have to offer. It takes a bit of time to get it right for you. I'm still working things out .. But I'm finding my own way ..not what anyone else thinks I should be doing |

I'm not saying people have to be active on the forums but that as a major source of information and opinions within this site it's a good place to read to get a clearer picture of what you might expect and what people might view as positives and negatives on a profile. I'm far from a regular forumite but I do see its value for information |

Then I bow down to your experience. Maybe I'm just in touch with a lot of people on the forums . I travel to lots of different club's . I see them comment on the forums and see them all often. I guess that's just my opinion |

I'd tend to agree with this. I've been a regular forum member for a long long time.. I've also been swinging for near on 24 years now.. I often direct newbies to the forums. I've even seen links on profiles to point newbies in the right direction.
And as the op has found the forums... it's a good time and place to mention them. |

Your only looking for F or FF, chances of that are slim to nil. Females on here have the choice of 1000’s of single men, so to be successful you’d need an outstanding profile and get out to clubs and socials and mingle, if you don’t put the leg work in, unfortunately you’re wasting your time. |
