So I've been in the forums for a few weeks now and getting on pretty well I think.

I've had lots of little interactions with people and some that have gone on for quite a while.

At which point is it ok to send a friend request and obviously for me, does it matter if they dont have the type of person you are on their looking for list. Most that I've enjoyed things with dont have TV/TS listed.

I dont want to appear rude but also I'm useless at seeing the signs that people might like me for more than a bit of forum banter.

Thanks in advance.

I always ask and like to be asked - that’s just me though

I never know when to ask as I dont want to make the other person feel awkward if they wouldn't want to add me so feel it's easier not to ask.

I'd just ask, that's what people do with me and I'll usually just politely decline and let them know that my friends list is just for people I've actually met in person.

I don't think it would make it awkward, it's much better to ask than just to send one I think.

.

If you have been talking for a few days I dont see the harm in asking them if you can send a request, just be prepared that the answer may be no.

I usually say something along the lines of “if you’d like to drop me a friends request feel free”, or “I’d like to drop you a friends request, but feel free to ignore it if you’re not ready yet.”

The only time FRs really annoy us is when they are sent when we haven't even spoken to the person.

I've always deleted those ones straight away myself so would never send one.

It's just rude I think.

We look and see if they have friend only pics. If they have, wait until they are offline, accept, perve all their friend only pics and then block them
