Very easy to find good harnesses, lovehoney has some good ones, i've got a couple off amazon. Get your partner to find one she likes the look of and check the reviews.
My recommendation is go for one that has leg and waist straps. Doesn't look like the straps are too thin on the waist. You want the dildo to be firmly held, so she doesn't end up constantly fiddling with it. Look at the straps running between the legs in the crotch, she needs to be comfortable there.
Then for the dildo, you both need to pick one that you can manage. So don't go crazy if you've never done 6in, don't get an 8in. Ideally get a harness with a ring so you can change dildo later and get dildo's that can attach to it.
Then you need to practice with the dildo you choose, get used to its size and make sure you can get comfortable playing with it and for a good amount of time. That will allow her to fuck you with it, without you trying to run off the bed in pain! Trust me, getting to the point she can really fuck you hard, is an awesome experience for her and you. So practice practice...

We bought our harness from Sh! about eight years ago. They even did a trial fit to make sure we had the right size. It's still beautifully comfortable and they have a number of interchangeable dildos so you can start small and work up if needs be.  |

This ^^^^ AND a decent harness. Cheap harnesses will move about and hurt. We have the Spareparts Joque harness - expensive but good. Buy cheap buy twice. |
