A really strange thing has happened to us a couple of times...

We get a message from a verified single women's profile and then get asked if they can "send us a man" or "talk to their female friend on WhatsApp". Is this some whole new catfish nonesense I'm only just becoming aware of? Are people selling profiles? What's going on???

Anyone else had this?

Oh absolutely! Always very sceptical when we get a message from a woman and still wouldn't break our "only meet at clubs" rule. Just curious if anyone else has had this

If they are asking to send a man, I'd be assuming that the profile is fake and it's just a sad guy trying to get himself meets, I'd make admin aware of it so they could look into it a little

Did consider that, but the language was chosen carefully to suggest it was "the woman's fantasy" so wasn't sure if admin would have enough evidence to ban if that makes sense? Conversation ended when I responded to a request for face pics with "nah you're alright!" hahaha

When I get these messages I always think "yeah go on then, let's see where you are going with this..." because I like to see what they are trying to do and maybe play along for a bit.

We've been on fab long enough not to get sucked in by the fakes but it's fun to play the innocent sometimes

I've had a couple of women claiming to be subs asking if I would consider their "Master".

Nope nope nope. If the "Master" isn't doing his own work then not interested to start with.

And also found it highly unlikely there was a sub in the first place.

I don’t know like ‘I found out he’s on here cheating on me , made an account etc , can you message him on his account and wind him up / make him want to meet you’ etc

Clever tactic and I’m sure some women fall for the whole ‘girl code’ thing but not this one looooool

The trouble is it is too easy for guys to set up a fake verified female account and then try to use it to get other meets. I'm sure some people must fall for it, especially newbies to the site.

This happens all to often from both 'so called' female and male subs. I just ignore.

This is one of the main reasons I never believe webcam verifications. It's so easy to fake if you know a bit about computers and I don't trust people to know how to detect a fake webcam

Yes, those are annoying as well! Often accompanied by three verifications to the effect of "I've met this awesome guy several times now" and no mention of the woman. One of these guys even had the cheek to say "but I am verified!" when I queried it. No dude, verified AS A COUPLE!

This is legitimatly spooky.

Why would you go to such means to obtain a meet that is absolutely desperate.

Especially when you say that a single guy from a couple is no different to a normal single guy

It's probably just a trick to get around the "no single guy's" effect

Firstly let me say that a (tiny) percentage of these requests are genuine.

The rule we apply to any message or profile on the inter is "would we be happy for a relative or loved one to get themselves into the situation described here?"

So anybody requesting that we meet a third party, we text their unaware partner (there's likely no partner it's a guy pretending to be his wife), we meet the guy of the couple to make sure his partner will like us, we send naked photos including face doing some bizarre action, we meet them as a couple but don't tell the wife we're swingers because "she likes things to be spontaneous" , we go to a certain postcode and they will tell us the house number when we get there etc we swerve pdq.

These are highly likely to not be who they claim to be or just using dishonest methods to get meets. It's not new, it's as old as the internet and social media, people probably aren't selling profiles they're just lying about who's using them and yeah, it is some catfish nonsense most of the time.

Yeah! Like if we knew a couple well and they played separately and we fancied some mfm we wouldn't be against playing with just the guy but our standards would be exactly the same as they would for single guys!!

There's loads of guys on women's accounts saying they want to get revenge on their bf for cheating. Or that they are a "couple" but they only want you to meet the guy. It gets a bit old when you get them a lot but like another poster said sometimes I just play with them for the fun of it.

I've never had anyone ask what the OP said but still had some dumb ass requests you can see right through. I'd just say no thanks or just not reply.

I don't know how they get verified they might be the genuine ones or they might have access to a woman's account say an ex partners or they might have a genuine male verified account... That's why it you suspect foul play it's best reported for admin to check.

Nonesense like this is one of the major reasons we have "only meeting new people at the club" splashed all over our profile

Want us to meet your man? Sure. Send him along! He can put on a nice shirt and some aftershave, pay his entry fee and if he's charming and attractive we might want to play! But he'll be on a level pegging with everyone else in there!

We meet single guys all the time from single guy profiles. We arrange to meet in a coffee shop for a chat and no more. As I said we just swerve anybody who seems even faintly dodgy.

When we lived down south (in Hastings funnily enough) we used fab for meets a bit more. Especially as our only club option was Bristol Gardens which is lovely but not the best for social stuff. Since moving somewhere with a really good local club we only really bother with the social features of fab like forums and messaging friends

House prices was a big factor for us! Wonder if the crowley curse will bring us back though...

Yeah, it's definitely better for clubs up this way. Think the abundance of unused buildings really helps as loads are old pubs, ballrooms, factories etc. Or maybe people are just filthier north of the wall...
