Painful! Afterwards it will feel very smooth. A lot of people love the feeling of no body hair. I'm not a fan myself but if you are you'll really like it, I hope you enjoy it

Super smooth.

The salon therapist usually advises you to avoid any body lotion, swimming etc for 24 hours after, to avoid any infection setting in where your hair follicles used to be.

Exfoliate lots before and after...once the rash has settled. Use a product like skin doctors ingrow go too to help prevent ingrowns. I got waxed once but it didn't agree with my hair! Would love to be smooth! Ric x

As long as you are going to a qualified therapist, you'll be absolutely fine.

Do exfoliate the day before, but don't use anything oil based, like a salt and oil scrub - as the wax won't adhere to your skin.

Don't have a really hot shower or bath afterwards, or the same day. Next morning will be fine.

You'll love the smoothness. It's addictive. And yes, it does hurt a little in certain areas, but it's well worth it. Good luck!

x Niki

I'm a qualified therapist and agree with swimming, sunbathing, hot showers. Saunas, exercise that makes u sweaty, even sex for 24 hours. Even wear loose clothing to avoid any friction against yr skin which could irritate it.

Body lotion? Not sure about that one because as soon as u've waxed n cleaned up the area u apply a moisturiser in the form of a calming lotion to help with any redness and to help soothe the skin to prevent it from drying out.

I once tried a DIY wax at home after buying a kit.

Never again.

Took me ages to clean up the mess I made with the wax lol.
