To all couples and females on here - what is your thoughts on the wink option on here....do you;
1) Prefer to be sent a wink as a way of a male saying I like your profile and then lead into messages
2) Prefer a message to start things off
Thanks |

It's just like being in a pub situation you see someone looking at you they wink at you,smile at you ,then finaly chat to you ..so way i see it is if someone has winked me il check out their profile and if im intrested il send a wink back followed by an email thanking them for the wink . |

Its a tough one, I have used winks in the past and you dont get any response which okay, says waste of time using them, then on the other hand, you get a wink back, so you think, okay they fancy a chat, send a message and nothing....trying to find the best way to make the first contact, as so many single guys on here, timewasters or not, you are fighting a losing battle half the time |

We don't mind winks, but only if the guy has a good profile with pictures. If we like the profile we will wink back or send a message.
Winks are totally pointless if the guy has no pics on his profile or just a cock pic, as it just comes across as them being lazy. |

If I get a wink, I'll also thank them, but on all occasions except one, they haven't responded! Now tell me, what's the point of winking in the first place? I'll continue to say thanks and also continue to smile to myself when I get nothing back |

Site features are there to be used id say. if not there about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
Profiles thats say dont accept winks or friend requests put me off. If you want to be mentally stimulated try reading a book. |

"In my experience winks are pretty pointless and no one responds to them.We've found the opposite to be the case."
You are missing the fundamental difference. Namely that you are a couple and he is a single guy. I never wink, common sense dictates that a woman with potentially 100's of messages is somewhat unlikely to resond to a single man who can't be arsed to type a message.

we had a bit of cam play last night, got a fair bit of attention, wanted to acknowledge compliments, encouragement etc but as we were both distracted at the time could only mange winks!
does anyone know how to see who you've winked at?
Have also found that on most profiles people suggest approach they prefer

I don't mind winks, but I can log on and find I've had 60 since I was last on site (and I'm on regularly) so sometimes I mass delete, other times I take a saunter through but may only respond to one or two.
But (double standard alert) I do wink at guys if I notice them on the forums or if I've had a chance to browse. |

Having been winked at in the pub on Friday, and having only just got home, I'm very much pro-winking - online and offline. But I don't think winking is taken well from single guys (after a few testers and profile reads it tends to be seen as lazy), so I avoid its use personally... |
