"Because they have established that you're not for them and rather than be honest and potentially get a nasty message back , they block to end the conversation. "
That's cleared that one up then |

Basically. You probably said the wrong thing and they changed their mind |

"Why do people that your having a chat with and then just block you for no reason "
They don't want to waste your time or their's any further, when they've decided to call it a day.
Etiquette is often forgotten/not needed (depends on pov) online. Learn not to take it personally. |

It's easy to say that and just block someone when they hide behind a screen. Once people actually spoke to one another and respected each other.. with sites like this,, that doesn't really exist anymore. If you know how I meant that |

It's impossible to engage in chat with every single person who messages you.
If someone isn't interested then they arent interested, no one on here or in real life is obligation to make conversation with someone if they dont want to |

Who knows how people's minds work...
....there's a couple who've contacted me a number of times (twice here now, at the 'sister' site previously), inviting me to meet them...
....last night followed the same pattern as before - "you free?", "want to meet?", etc, leading to a suggestion of where and when...
....then the messages suddenly get deleted - they've got veris, so unless thsoe are fake, they are a real couple...
....won't happen again, though, as I've now blocked them... |

If you knew what it was like to be a woman in this environment you'd understand why. If you want to blame someone blame the guys who call us stunning until we turn them down and then call us fat whores. Blame the guys who send endless messages asking why not in response to a polite no thank you. Blame the men who touch us without asking at clubs. If men stop behaving like this then women will stop being guarded and defensive. I appreciate you weren't being unpleasant but when this has happened over and over again you get truly sick of dealing with it. Life's too short not to use the block button.

"If I tell you that you are stunning that's that just because you might turn me down I wouldn't be horrible to you one bit "
I'm not saying you would, hun but these women don't know you. It's probably nothing you've done, it's just them not wanting the same crap they've had before. |

You may not be, but countless others will be.
And anyone chatting with you would have no idea, whether you would or not.
The block button, is often a self defense button |

Likewise. I get that their are some really horrible nasty guys out there, I really do. But then most of us good guys are automatically labelled as the same, without the lady first finding out. Not all are the same I know |

I only block those that deserve it ie. If it turns nasty or stupid. if you are just talking what's the problem. Be honest with those that aren't for you. It only takes a minute to say no thanks. Too much effort for some on here |

Yes it takes a minute to say no thanks but it then takes lots more minutes to answer the follow up messages asking why not and refusing to take no for an answer. Might be straightaway, might be next day, week, month... One of my most overused phrases here is "I've already said no to you." They're not being rude as such but can't I just say no thank you and that be the end of it? And because I can't why is it wrong to use the block button? I'm not here to keep saying no thank you over and over again, it's fucking boring. |

Sadly this is spot on the money. I hear this time and time again from ladies on here. Horrible abuse for saying no.
Shame there isn't a report and send message text system, with bans, to curb this somewhat.
In the meantime, well meaning respectful, heck just normal guys, have to expect a block or delete unread and take it and move on |

Because with in the confines of said conversation they discovered they don't want to take things further so instead of leaving you under the impression it will they block you, so they don't have to give you feed back to WHY?.

You can report it but nothing ever happens. You can block but it doesn't stop them making new accounts. I actually find the abuse easier to deal with than someone who's not rude but just won't accept I'm not interested and just keeps messaging again and again. I've got the choice of either saying "look for fucks sake just take no for an answer" or saying explicitly that I'm not even a bit attracted to them. Are either of those more desirable than blocking someone? I don't want to be unpleasant to anyone but I also don't want to spend my time on people I'm not interested in. I wouldn't expect anyone to do that for me.

Totally get you, very hard to weigh it up. I have no issue with someone taking the time to respond where they have no attraction, quite welcome a polite no thanks, good luck message. But then I know I won't be abusive! |

Some guys send really nice messages that they've really put effort and time into and I can't bring myself to just delete it and I feel I have to say no thank you just to acknowledge it. But those guys never turn rude, they just wish me well and disappear. Most messages I delete without any compunction. |

The problem is that the online world had become so engrained in our day to day lives that we forget that this is not the real world. So, real world rules do not apply.
I'm not saying that they shouldn't; I'm just saying that they don't. So "manners" and "etiquette" are not considered - people just do what's convenient. That's what the internet is all about - convenience.
Don't pontificate and waste your time and just accept it as the world of Fab.

Exactly the problem I have. Unless someone is absolutely appalling from the first message, I don’t block immediately just because I’m not interested. But if I say they’re not my type, around half of them will try to argue with me - as if I’ll find them more attractive or something - and I get so tired of having to go back and forwards over it. Or I tell them no and they keep trying every few days. “I’ve already said no” is a common phrase for me, too. At that point, I have to block or I start dreading opening my inbox. |

I’m not saying this is definitely the case so don’t think I’m having a go at you. But women will often pretend to like a compliment that actually made us uncomfortable, and online we might then block the person who paid the compliment so we don’t have to deal with any aggro for it. |

Probably. For me it’s a massive red flag because it makes me think those guys don’t understand “no” and honestly, he could be the hottest guy in the world, but if I get that impression I’ll never agree to meet him. |

For me when I send a email to a lady or couple and they decide that I am not for them and block me I don’t feel any bad feelings against them.
Even if I send a mail and they don’t reply but read it then I would never be abusing or send them threats or keep hounding them. I am sure if they wanted to chat with me then they would send me a mail back.
Also should I receive a email saying no thanks then I often reply back saying thanks for the reply plus have fun times, as it’s just my morals to be kind and gracious with no hard feelings.
Some people are rude and very disrespectful towards others on here which I don’t tolerate or have time for them and often they are blocked.

See in his world the idiot had assumed that in principle you'd love to fuck him just a technicality of travel precludes it. So he's mega frustrated.
Why am I bothering to get into his head?? Think I find analysing weird behaviour fascinating
Online is a strange place where socially dysfunctional people get to interact with normal people more than in person... And it creates a mess lol

They've decided your not for them in the end and blocked you to avoid any potential hassle and/or awkwardness with telling you that. Its harsh and disappointing but they don't know you, your still just a profile and thus don't owe you anything. Personally I don't like it but people are here for their own enjoyment, not telling strangers why it's a no and/or being hit with abuse (not saying you would, but some do and they don't know you). |

"That's what I say. Manners dont cost a thing. Its polite to say no. If I'm not for them I say no problem thanks for taking the time to read my message send them good luck

Is it not also manners to respect what others want?
For example,if a profile says don't send a friend invite, and you send one anyway,is that not ill mannered? Disrespectful?
Respect and manners work both ways |

You read status all the time saying how disrespectful men get when they are rejected or turn down. Some men send some ridiculous and nasty first messages. Read the profile first and respect their wishes. The reason you get blocked. They may have had some bad experiences after turning some one down |
