It's really really concerning people use these for longer erection s etc and not prescribed. Do they realise how dangerous these can be, prob not as u wouldn't take them unless a Dr has prescribed |

Define “they don’t need” I have a supply that I take when we go clubbing, maybe it’s only in my mind but it gives me confidence that I won’t have performance anxiety.
At my age it does make a difference to performance, ejaculation and confidence so why shouldn’t I.
In normal bedroom circumstances I don’t need it and never had any side effects.

I use viagra and in all fairness have been very pleasantly surprised by it. It feels very natural,the erection is lasting but not too lasting. Side affects for me have been minimal, maybe a mild head ache as we go home from a club night. |

Yeah we also don't need fags, booze, coffee, sugar or to eat every 6 hours. But we do all of that too. The phrase don't throw stones in glass houses should simply be changed to put down the fork and shut up. |

I actually got fucked up by a viagra years ago my friend brought some back from India and I took half of one started having visual trips and everything so just make sure your getting them from the right places. I was seeing purple everything that was white went bright purple lol |

Is that not true about aspirin, paracetamol or any drug etc.
Any drug can be abused,tho I dont see taking 4 viagra instead of one making any difference..
Surely the negativity is about focusing on 'a minimal damaging effect'from the wonder drug rather saying how it has and will help millions of men.. |

Quite a negative comment this.
This country is a nanny state when it comes to getting legal drugs over the counter without prescription,so the fact that viagra doesn't need a prescription shows how harmless it actually is. |

I got prescribed with Viagra hearing aids... Gave me a "hard-of-hearing on!!"
All joking aside though, first time I took a blue pill, I flaked out briefly in the club. Quite embarrassing as I could hear the Mrs telling everyone I'd popped a bluey. Learned from that, so it's a pint of water, with paracetamol and it's all fine. Just don't take ibuprofen as they stop swelling  |

The only significant contradiction to talking viagra is using nitrate medication (particularly GTN spray for angina). This combo can cause a significant (even fatal) drop in Blood pressure.
Other than that it’s relatively safe. Some people get a headache using it. V.rarely it can cause a slight blue tint to your vision (not permanent) |

You for got the following issues:-
Priapism which can permanently damage the penis.
Alpha-blockers if taking them you shouldn't use Viagra.

I don’t know why people have a bee in their bonnet about people taking viagra.
Priapism is an extremely rare complication, but yes if you have an erection that lasts for more than 4 hours then go to A&E. this tends to be seen more in men who take over the recommended high dose.
Alpha blockers are usually used in prostate disease and also BP. Viagra can affect BP if already on antihypertensives.
The other meds are metabolised through the liver as is viagra. Most of those meds are p450 enzyme inhibitors and will make the concentration of viagra go UP. A few will decrease its effectiveness eg carbemazepine etc
There are much more dangerous drugs out there folks, eg alcohol, nicotine, Etc.
If you are not sure if viagra or it’s cousins are for you then speak to your GP for further info.

Sildenafil is the generic version of viagra. You shouldn’t notice any difference between the two unless you react to other ingredients in it. Takes approx 30-60 mins to work and it lasts 4 hours or thereabouts. It doesn’t cause an erection but does help maintain one.
Cialis (tadalfil) is similar but the medication can hang around in your blood steam for up to 36hrs. (Offers more flexibility with dosing).
They can both cause nasal congestion and headaches.
There is also Levitra (vardenafil) which I think lasts as long as viagra.
There are gel and tablet versions of the medication - no idea if that makes them more tolerable or if it’s just a sneaky way to charge more money for the same drug. |

Not wishing to labour the point, but i'm not wrong, 50mg is the 'regular' strength:

I see that it's already been mentioned not to take Viagra when you use a GTN spray but did you know you can use it in place of a GTN?
After my heart attack the Cardiac Nurse told me that if I ever needed the spray and for some reason didn't have one available then a Viagra would help. I then had visions of Debs shouting across a crowded pub "Has anyone got a GTN spray...........or a Viagra" |

Certainly concur with comments about nasal congestion. It is problem I suffer from any way but have noticed it is worse when I take Viagra/Sildenafil. |

I’m thinking about trying viagra. So it helps you maintain an election. What about after I cum? Do I stay hard? Or is it easier to get an election when I get aroused (which unfortunately for me isn’t straight away). And if I do just keep an erection I could potentially keep going until I’m knackered or sore? |

What the OP is referencing is priapism, which is very dangerous. An erection lasting over 4 hours should be referred to as a medical emergency. If you don't suffer from ED then don't take it. I speak as someone who worked for a Urology equipment company and was previously married to the sales manager for a company directly involved in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, some of the saddest cases for the need for a permanent penile implant are young men smoking too much skunk and those who have overdosed on Viagra. It's not nanny state, it's sensible precautions.
If you struggle go see a pharmacist. |

Lowering of blood pressure is the one side effect that should be noted and actioned by anyone who may already be taking drugs than have a similar effect but other than that I agree.
Priapism is a real condition and is a potential side effect of Viagra but it is incredibly rare so rare it really shouldn’t be a consideration for anyone who is taking the drug. There are many more potential risks in life than priapism from taking Viagra and are statistically more likely, such as driving a car. Every effective medicine will have some potential side effect in a small number of cases. |

Took for 1st time yesterday on recommendation from a friend when meeting a new playmate as didn't want to let her down so to speak.

Whilst fully agreeing what a benefit these wonder pills can be,users should really read the leaflets enclosed when properly prescribed,or look it up?
Whilst generally harmless if you have certain health conditions or are on any other medication it can be risky so perhaps it really is worth asking for proper medical advice if in the slightest doubt? |
