Possible theft during meet

So a lady that I have met on here and I regularly chat with was very distressed this morning. It turns out she had a meet at her house last night with a single guy, whilst hubby was out (he knows and approves of her meets).
As always she removes her wedding and engagement rings before meeting other guys and leaves them in the same spot in the bathroom.
This morning when getting ready for work the rings are missing. Hunted high and low and can't find them. They guy she met last night visited the bathroom on more than one occasion.
What should she do?? Does she contact the guy? Call the police? Dismantle the u-bends hoping they fallen down the plug? Or just right it off as a lessonn learnt.
I'm told the rings weren't very expensive, just very sentimental items.
Advice?? |

I assume she'll contact the guy first wouldn't she? |

And even if you do take them off why not leave them on the bedside table ? |

Can she text him saying she wants the rings back and she knows he took them
Or she going to the police with his info that she should now save off the site.
If she's forceful enough he might give them back |

She's not 100% certain he's taken them and doesn't want to falsely accuse him. She thinks they may just be 'lost'.
I've offered to message him on here and ask him to return them if he has got them, but not sure whether I should butt in or not!? |

Erm... He's going to say he hasn't got them because he knows you can't prove he has. And the police will do nothing because they know you can't prove he has. I'm afraid they're gone and all she can do is learn from it. She could report it to the site but again... No proof of anything. I'm not unsympathetic, it's shitty and horrible. But there isn't anything you can do |

Reporting to the site wouldn't help as it happened away from the site. If she thinks she has been robbed the obvious answer is to go to the police |
