abusive messages .......
Jump to: Newest in thread
i know these can be reported to admin and appropriate action taken . but is there any clarification on what action will be taken ? i ask as you still see the person on line after report and following days . they may well of been given a slap on the wrist, but to be honest if thats the case i dont feel that sends the right message to those who feel its acceptable to personally abuse others . surely a ban from site for a period would be more effective at showing a zero tolerence for abuse ? are you happy with way abuse reports are delt with ? what improvement do you think could be made to the process ? |

We never provide feedback to the person who left the report. We get around 400 reports each day and if we provided feedback to everyone it would take up every waking hour we have and then some. We have other things to do.
We always take whatever action we believe is in the best interests of the community. This can be anything from first and final warning, multi-day suspension from site, to permanent suspension.

thank you for taking the time to replie. totally appricate indervidual updateson action taken are not possible .surely though for people being personally abusive its in sites interest to send a strong message that this is unacceptable and should be immediate suspension anyway ...number of days or if permanent decided by admin upon the repotrs sent . the first or final warning warning can be done as admin see fit but suspention should be matter of course if any user is personally abusive ? is this something admin could consider?? |

What you describe is what we do. We issue a first warning at our discretion.

"but the suspention isnt though . surely if a user is abusiver to another member they should be suspended (for what ever time deemed appropriate) automatically for that behaviour ? "
That happens (where we believe it is in the interest of the community).

From what other users have said, there is also the "he said, she said" issue.
I don't know if the admins keep records of messages, but if they don't then what would stop someone from saying bad things about you!
Admins have to monitor the situation and track if a user is getting reports from different people.
Otherwise I could log on early one morning, report every other guy on here and have everyone to myself |

This is true... A guy I turned down has now set up three profiles that I know of... all three contained content directly aimed at me... to the point he actually named me... Problem is I can't 100% prove its him... All I can do is report each profile as I become aware of it... (he has a habit of regularly visiting the profile of a regular fb of mine... When my friend sees a pattern forming he checks the profile and if it's my abuser then let's me know ) he's basically trying to get me off the site... But I won't be beaten hence I'm still here... But it does get me down |

Offence is the best form of defence. On receipt of an abusive message I always look at the profile of the sender. There is always something to pounce on. "Sorry, but we just aren't interested in men with penises that look like hosepipes with cotton bobbins stuck on their ends. Sorry, but we don't do midgets. Sorry but we don't do neutered males with bald heads and matchstick arms. Sorry but we don't do men who are so thick that they cannot spell simple words in their own language correctly. Sorry, but we don't do lard-arses. Sorry, but we don't do effeminate men with bald chests. Sorry but we don't do shaven bodily hair anal retentives etc etc. Of course if they've had the sense to block us, we can't attack them, but I always have the last laugh anyway, because I have an attractive wife and a happy marriage, and they don't!!!!!
I wouldn't dream of reporting the sender of an abusive message. They provide me with opportunities to have so much fun!!! |

admin can see all message thread so there is no case of he said she said, it is there in black and white . yes unfortunatly ppl can set up another profile but if they then abuse some again theyll get barred again straight away .saves them abuseing another load of ppl in meantime .untill such time as theres way to limit profiles from same origin being set up . may make at least some think before throwing personal insults at others . |

Admin have given answers on what they do about reports. I will also paste a longer answer they have given in the past to show what they do.
If people think others should get chucked off the site straight away then whatever Admin say won't suit anyway...but it isn't worth complaining that it isn't worth reporting just because you don't like what Admin do.
I personally think they have it right, as everyone can be an arse at times, and why can't they have a second chance.
Anyway this is Admins indepth answer from another thread.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:
--
Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.****** |

people who are abusive to women should be blocked indefinatly in our opinion. and as for people just re-registering under different names the moderators should be able to check ip addys, a bit time consuming i know but needed all the same. protect all our lovely ladies, god bless um lol |

In the last couple of days I have had so much abuse of guys as they cannot take the rejection, I send a thanks but no thanks email out and get so much abuse, If I don’t answer I still get abuse for not answering, the other day I got accused of being a escort because I said thanks but no thanks, I reported to admin and blocked the guy, but he just opened another profile up , sent abuse and blocked again, I know admin have a hard time with many problems but I feel the site should take more actions as feel it’s not fair and its about fun not abuse. |
