We are planning to book an holiday to Cap d Agade in the month of july-August for 7 days... is this the best time to visit Cap ? if not what is the best time?.... since this will be our first swinging/naturist holiday, we dont know what to expect..we did some online research about the place, lots of mixed response....very confussed..
if anyone been there, could you please let us know what to expect , how thriving the swinging scene is ?..or is it just another nudist beach with old men and women walkabout ?
since its bloody expensive, we thought we take some advice from members who visited Cap d Agade..... your views will be highly valued.. |

Hello Rands09,
firstly I would suggest going for fourteen days as it makes it better value for money. It's about four years since we were last there but prior to that we went every year for about six or seven years. I know that places change and clubs come and go but there is plenty of scope for fun in the clubs in the naturist quarter and out of it. Just sitting in The Melrose bar spectating is entertaining in itself as the costumes worn (or not) is spectacular There is a club in Agde itself and there is L'Extasia down the coast a bit on the Sette road.
If you want a bit of entertainment during the day, walk left along the beach for about a mile?, past the beach cafe (Marseillan I think it's called) and police hut at the end. There the 'adult' section gathers and sex takes place on the beach. You can either watch or partake.
Have fun, I bet you'll want to come back again?

July and August are the to busiest and most expensive months, during those onths you'll find a lot more younger couples as opposed to may,June and September when the age is a lot higher in general.
As far as swinging goes you won't find better the place is naturist but on the whole mostly geared up for swingers.
There's really no need to worry about clubs outside the complex to be honest, there are many places outside but during the summer months everything revolves around the naturist.
We live here guys so if you want any other advice inbox us and we'll give you the advice you need.. |

We go there every year and July/ausgust is the busiest and swingiest time. Lots of sexy people around and you will have the time of your lives. We are going 19-26 July this year staying at jardines Babylones.
YES, it is very expensive to such a degree that a "pub crawl" is out of the question. Everything is expensive but it is literally like nowhere else on earth.
Take your sexiest and most outrageous outfits, prepare for wild partying and you will have a blast. Do not miss the day time foam parties at La Glamour - unforgettable.
Only thing to caution you about is that some of the accomodation at Heliopolis, Port Ambonne and Port Natur is the most affordable, but very dated and you might want to double verify that you are staying somewhere nice. |

Hello Yorkguy,
The nearest large airport is Montpelier but we used to use a smaller airport (Carcassone) and hired a car. I can't remember if it was Ryanair or Easyjet.
Personally I wouldn't worry to much about the accomodation, yes, fairly basic but we didn't spend a lot of time in there.

Don't avoid these places, just ask and be sure that you are in a renovated unit - some have not been touched since the 1970's!! Our first stay was in Port Natur in a small one bedroom unit overlooking the port and it was lovely. Next door was horrendous! |
