Start with self publishing via an outlet like Amazon. I have a friend who's written a whole series of books and published/sold there.

I have searched high and low but its not easy to locate her. I have tried every derivative of what I think the book was called and also searching on here but she only has a few photos up. I'm not giving up just yet. I'm pretty sure the book was called something like "my first time in Spain" or something similar and her name was Sarah, I think

Having a book published through traditional methods is extremely difficult and time consuming. Many are now going down the Kindle Direct Publishing route. It can help to be prolific in the writing sense, having a number of titles you can release periodically will get you noticed and increase sales.

If sending a manuscript to a publisher, make sure everything is in an acceptable format (this is extremely important) and have it proof read.

Although I am not currently undertaking this role, I have experience of the above. Happy to elaborate on formatting etc on PM.

The book you're referring to was called First Tango in Paris and written by Emma Styles, she is on here, but not sure we are allowed to post her username.

Sorry for the late response

Me and the bf haven't actually started writing together yet as we are so busy but we would be keen to start something in the near future. I hope it works out for you!!

I’m 12 chapters into my book, based on the fun & sexy times I experienced in my 22 years served in the Royal Navy. Only 6 chapters to go!

I quite enjoy writing when I have the time. I wrote a part 1 last month to an erotic story and need to complete it but have another erotic story which I'm now inspired to get writing on.

Also love reading a good series of them on literotica, mostly 'loving wives'.

Good luck with your venture. x

I published a book on Amazon 3 years ago. Very easy process, even uploaded photos to it, I was lucky in that a good friend of mine was a book editor and agreed to do it for free. Payment came through promptly for sales, and still drips through every now and then.

I used to run 'publishonkindle' which helped people get their books live.

The Kindle Direct Publishing platform is easy to set up (just a few questions, make sure you fill out the tax bit so you get paid right) and once done load your manuscript.

You can load a Word/PDF however they don't work great on Kindle as they fix the size of the font, Kindle is more like a web browser and doesn't have any concept of 'page' (all depends on how big your font is, are you on a phone vs tablet screen size etc).

The easy bit is getting it live.

The hard bit is the marketing and getting people to find it.

You can run advertising campaigns but they can get expensive.

The Free Download option (5days in 3 months) can help you get found but off line word of mouth is often best.

Happy to give advice if anyone needs any, just PM me.

Just Google book publishers read what they are looking for and send of a manuscript, just don't be discouraged on receiving rejection letters as it very hard these days just keep at it.

I am in the process of writing my first novel. More crime thriller than erotica but it does have a few kinky twists and turns. I've set up an Amazon Kindle Self Publishing account. There is plenty of advice out there.

It's great to see so many people giving advice of their own experiences. Much appreciated.

Ben
