"Been recommended DJ Suites
where is that?"
If you quote the club when you book you get a 20% discount. 40-48 Hornby Rd. Its about a 5-10 min walk to our club.
The guy who runs it is a gay swinger and the place is lovely. |

"There’s a lot of gay hotels in Blackpool - I’m sure all would be happy to accommodate!
If you look up BAGS (Blackpool Accomodation for Gays) Blackpool they have a long list of affiliated hotels "
Not all Gay-Friendly hotels want Tv's or women though, which is perfectly understandable.

This, in fact one establishment asked me would I want to go into the bar dressed as it could annoy some of their guests
Last time I was at the Travelodge which is around a mile away from Club Sx, families and guys hanging around the door, no comments or dirty looks. And later when I got back and my key card didn't work the guy honestly didn't seem to care how I was dressed. |

I think so. These are gay men only places, there are plenty of hotels in Blackpool & a lot in the gay area, enough are trans-friendly. |

Thank you, I hadn't realised that a hotel could turn away people based on gender and also in this instance heterosexuality.. |

I'm not up on the current laws to be fair, but as a tv I wouldn't feel comfortable around people who were uncomfortable around me.

They really aren’t - the vast majority of hotels on that list will welcome any LGBTQ guests with open arms. Of course there will be exceptions, but the hotels on that list are not “gay men only” |

I'm straight an if i can't find private own holiday accommodation in Blackpool, i go straight for the small lgbt bnbs as they are friendly and a lot now have CCtv.
Plus I'm a believer in helping small accommodation places to maga companies accommodation.
And i go sipping in the lgbt bar's, lot more relaxed.

When I was browsing hotels, I came across a couple that described themselves as 'men only'.
Those are the places we as a fem/tv couple would avoid, simply because we aren't their target clientele.

Near Marlborough |
DJ Suites was full when I tried to book it. Last time Anna and I went to Club SX we stayed there. It’s ok. Nothing special.
Next weekend we are staying at The Seaside Apartments. It’s close enough to walk. Anna will probably walk as a man and get changed there

Yes you might find an odd one or two that are “men only” but 99% are just small businesses trying to make a living and will welcome all guests who are respectful.
“Gay owned and gay friendly”, “For gay people and all their friends”, “For gay, trans, bi, queer, fabulous and even nice straight couples” are all phrases I’ve seen repeated over and over on the Gay Hotel / Gay BnB websites.
And as a separate point... any that are “men only” are breaking the law. In the U.K. they can’t turn guests away based on their gender, sexuality, race, age, religion or disability. Although I can’t imagine anyone wanting to stay anywhere they aren’t welcome when there’s so many other fabulous and welcoming options to pick from! |

I suspect in all establishments there is a significant difference between a transwoman / cross dresser wearing everyday female clothing and the items many of us would wear inside a club (i.e. fetish, flirty, visible stocking tops etc) as to vanilla people we might appear as sex-workers, who hotels will obviously discourage from hanging around their bars.
There isn't a anything transphobic about this as rightly or wrongly cis-gender women wouldn't wear these clothes in general public either without comments. There are trans/CD who think by presenting female they can wear anything they like, which is wrong. Many are unaware that women carefully select clothes for the occasion and impression a person wants to project like a uniform.
If you dress respectable feminine clothing outside the club you should have no problems anywhere. |

I (Sara) always wear something fairly demure when going to & from the club, and change there.
It might be a pic pencil skirt but it covers me below the knee. |
