Ladies/Gents
I've been on here a few weeks now and this isn't going to be a 'NO ONE HAS MET ME YET' thread but is a can someone help me thread!
I wasn't expecting to have met anyone yet but was at least expecting a conversation or two. However, despite thinking i've made myself clear about not being interested in blokes, they are in fact the only people to contact me! Lol!
Anyway, i've never been on a website like this before and whilst i've created a profile, I wonder whether some could review it and offer some constructive feedback?
Also, I have contacted some people and received no replies other than some who have replied back saying thanks but no thanks. And, unlike some on here, I havn't replied with abusive messages because, let's face it, what's the point in that (and I thought it was very polite to at least so No)! Anyway, I digress. I have no doubt that the messages I send are boring but I don't know what to write. Different members want different things and it would be nice to sort of get an idea of what sorts of things are acceptable.
PM me if you want.
Thanks in advance! |

I think your profile is great , it reads well but i dont agree with the point you made about only sending face pics to those you trust or have arranged to meet with . Sending face pics early on is a must for me because it saves endless time consuming chit chat with someone who eventually sends their pic and i discover hes not for me . If you send early on and all goes well the trust and hopefully a meet will follow . K |

Thanks for your reply. I've made a slight amendment regarding the face pic. I wrote that after someone asked to see my face pic but was not prepared to share any photos at all! I think sharing photos needs to be a 2 way thing (maybe i'm a little suspicious but i'm sure that not everyone on here is genuine!) |

Firstly its going to be rare for ppl to contact you...in the time we have been on different sites i have never sent an unsolicited mail. So you are going to be sending them out...make sure you fit what people are looking for, craft each mail to that person(cut and paste is spottable a mile away) ,dont write an essay but hi how are you isnt much good either.
Havnt read and am not going to read your profile, as it needs to be a fair reflection of you...only you know that. If the pics are as nice as your avatar then im sure they are fine
Lastly the site is only a tool , to make best use of it remember that. Forums and chat are great ways to get to know people and the best way is getting to socials, meeting in the real world.
Have fun |

show your face pic properly, its in negative so you might as well, that can be reverted back to its proper colours in seconds.
its going to stop you getting meets, and mean that you have almost zero chance of someone contacting you first. if you have nice photos and a nice profile then not only will your messages have a higher chance of getting replies but once in a while someone will contact you first because they like what they see and read

Thanks for your reply. I do tend to do the contacting and try to reply according to the profile i've read. Maybe i'm a bit too polite with my replies.

Thanks for your reply as well. I didn't realise that my pic could be changed back so easily. Whilst it's the opopsite of what you advised i've removed it and left my real face pic in private pics! To be honest, I think I may be still nervous, especially as most profiles have that warning to Syndney Uni (and I don't want them to have my face pic!). I |

idiots post the sydney uni warning...i use it as a way of filtering who i am not going to meet.
They do not and have never wanted your face pic, dont worry...it is also legal nonsense. |

yeah this is so true, i come on the forums all the time and never heard of anyone getting their pictures put on a univeristy or out lol.
look the reason i told you show your face is because if you dont people assume your attached and thats why you are hiding your face. if your are or not dont really interest me or your reasons to. all im saying is if you publically show your face your trust level is alot higher with women and couples and your chances of a getting a meet (if its a decent photo that is) will increase ten fold
have a search for all the guys profiles on here. and you can look at the compition, think which ones look crap amongst the others, and usually its the ones with the best open pictures and short but informative about the persons profile that look the best.
the ones that have no face pics or no pics at all just blend in with profile after profile of people wondering why they not getting what they want out of the site! |
