Because a hell of a lot of "single" men in here are hoping to play away without their partner's knowledge. That is the experience that many women have had, time and time again. It informs their spidey-senses. |

If they are saying they won't meet you because they think you're married they may just be using that as a tactful excuse. |

Mostly because experience has shown that most men who say they're single aren't. We always assume a guy is married until it's clear he's not, it's unfair on the genuinely single men but sometimes we have to do what's best for us. |
