Sooooooo how do we tell the difference??
I know it’s an age old question but now the suns out I’m seeing them a lot more, I can’t go up to every woman I see and ask or even build a conversation towards as that’s just presumptive and nearly rude?!?
Any help would be appreciated  |

....the swinger ones tend to have male and female symbols hanging off them ( mine has a M F M ...)...
And 'hotwife' ones will have a 'H' and 'W' on...
....but you would have to look very closely to inspect...
...this could get you in a spot of bother!! |

No harm in commenting on it. That's a lovely anklet, I think it's fab . Then wait for response. You shouldn't get a slap for paying a compliment.

That's a clever way I like that but outside a swingers club or party I think most are fashion items and asking outrite even if the wearer is into the lifestyle one would in my mind be asking for trouble. X |

Peach wears an anklet with a vixen fox charm on it. So people in the know will know what it means.
Saw a mother at school the other day with anklet,and above the a tattoo of the women symbol with two male symbol. So I think hers was obvious lol. |

The only time this may not be the case is if the anklet has a very specific clear message. So J has a HW one & a MMFMM one.

You have got completely the wrong attitude to it and I find you incredibly rude to be honest. Wearing a simple plain anklet is not an advertisement! It’s not like it’s got HW or anything at all related to the lifestyle on it. It’s highly significant to me and my husband and has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with you.
And I assure you, just like 99% of other people in the swinging lifestyle, I do not want to be approached in my regular life.
I’m a hot wife, not soneone who you can approach for sex whenever you feel like it and expect me to open my legs for whoever wants a go. |

R always wears one for swinging and often during the summer, she knows some people will think she's sexually liberated and she likes that. BUT my ex wore one on beaches and overseas holidays, and she was as vanilla as they come, so don't assume it automatically means anything. |

I’m not advertising myself - it’s not an invitation and a plain anklet is most certainly not an outward hotwife symbol that is being worn for you to act upon. |

So it would not be ok for a guy who is being really nice + friendly to ask if your anklet stood for anything? You outright would blast anyone who had any comment or question etc?

In my vanilla life? I would be horrified if someone asked me if I’m a hotwife! Everyone in the lifestyle has a right to privacy - a simple plain anklet (no symbols, words or charms) is not an invitation. |

I don’t wear anything with symbols or letters etc in my vanilla life so personally I can’t answer, but I would imagine if someone is wearing one that has a clear symbol they would welcome respectful and polite comments! |

Just out of interest, how many of you ladies have actually been approached in public/vanilla life specifically because you were wearing an anklet?
I've read a lot on here about how inappropriate this would be, & many warnings along the lines of, anyone who mentions your anklet will be slain where they stand.
So from this I take it this is a common occurrence ??? |

The gentleman in question asked if it meant anything.. she replied yes, but what do you think it means ? unfortunately he replied he wasn't sure.
