Hi.
I have brittle asthma, just be honest about it and keep the meds close to hand.
Trouble is the more anxious you get about breathing issues the more lightly they are to play up.

I am borderline Stage 4 with the same albeit I have not met anyone from here for some time. I try not to let it rule my life though, it's managed by inhalers and steroids, because if you do it will never let you do anything. Good luck with meeting someone though and just be yourself, try not to stress, and don't have anyone you meet bring that stress on by expecting you to do something you don't feel able too. |

"I'd be a bit worried about meeting someone with breathing problems
It’s only a problem if they stop breathing "
Yep if they are still breathing until you say bye then it’s fine. Sufferers will know their limits..... |

I have brittle asthma and pre-existing lung damage.
My tips?
1. Manage well. By that, I mean find a drug regimen that keeps you stable. Work with your GP, respiratory nurse & pharmacist.
2. Flu jab every year, early, and without fail.
3. Know your triggers, and while not avoiding them, know how to manage them.
4. Make sure that inhalers are in your play bag. Talk to partners and prospective meets.
5. Have an action plan, and make sure that others know it. Know when you need to slow down or stop, and that your partner does, too.
6. Don't be afraid to call for an ambulance if you are in serious trouble (e.g your inhalers are not helping at all, and your condition is getting worse.
