Hi. Just looking for ideas. I've moved away to Oxford and don't have any local friends. Female friends. I dont have kids so can't make 'Mummy Friends'. I work from home so cant make friends at work either. I do go to the gym but alot of the other ladies there are older than me. Or are Mums at the gym while their kids are at school. I'm not looking for a sexual relationship with a woman. Just a friend who I can go shopping with. Day drinking. Spa Days etc. Any ideas how I can make friends? Sad I know. Lol. C Xx |

Not sad at all OP, I've been in a similar position when I moved to Cornwall. If you have FB, check ot the local pages for events and maybe go to a few of them. You could also join an excercise class or gym. It worked for me, I've found a couple of nice female friends this way. Good luck. X |

I do go to the gym. Maybe I should be a bit more friendly. Lol.

. If you are looking to make friends and go out for drink , meal , cinema or any other type of social events it maybe worth doing a google search for meet up they are a National group and have events for all parts of the UK.I have managed to find to local groups to myself so you never know.Best of luck

Me moved from Birmingham to Weston and found it pretty hard to makes new friends,but gradually started seeing the same ppl and one or two have become friends
The wife also enrolled in college and has completed a few courses (nails&hair) so now she's meeting ppl through doing that and it keeps here busy.shes a lot happier now,but would like a few closer friends  |

No I understand that one completely im a full time single dad so meeting up with new people is hard work not long been back in Berkshire and it's difficult |
