How was your first time hooking up with someone else?

How was it for you the first time you had sex with someone other than your partner?
I have been seeing someone for almost 3 months now (not long at all). I haven't been in an open relationship before but I now know that this is important to me. The guy I'm seeing has known this from the start- the idea of an open relationship seemed alien to him at first but he is very secure, we're building trust and can communicate really well. Neither of us wants to limit the others' freedom and he is happy for me to hook up, and his preference for now is not to hear about it. This suits me too.
Anyway, he's away at the moment (he travels a lot). An FB of mine got in touch a few weeks ago and we're planning to meet up tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing him but I also feel like it might be a bit strange! I know it's not the case, but part of me feels like I'm cheating or something.
But I feel like this might not be totally unusual, given all of the messages that we receive about monogamy and with this being the default.
So how were things for you the first time? |

Fucking brilliant. My first meet was with Charlie....
I was like Wow ! We did stuff I had never done before, like face sitting. I didn't think he'd come back for more but he did. 5 years on and We are still meeting for sex regularly

I think part of the thrill is it feels like cheating even though it isn’t as you have the other persons consent
You’ll have a great time especially as the person is an old FB you obviously had a good time with before

Oh thanks this really helps. So perhaps I should reframe feel g like it's cheating as an exciting part of the experience, rather than something that I have to overcome.
And yes, the old FB is a total sweetheart. I don't think I'd bother at the moment with someone else, so it was nice that he got in touch at the right time! |

I can imagine it might be surreal, but sounds like it was great once you both got stuck in!
Well I didn't get to try for myself over the weekend as the old FWB cancelled (in fact, he used to do this too often when I knew him previously  ) I was really looking forward to it in the end so I'm keeping my eye out for other opportunities. |
