When people are putting their location on here are you using your real location?
The fors are that then you can actually see who is local to you but as an opposite to that the against is someone may recognise you especially if you don’t want this part of your life wildly known.
On another site I’m on people use Antartica or Vatican City.
I see fors and againsts for both.
What do you do if someone does recognise you? |

A gay guy at work, recognised me on the other site (Guys). I only found out because an ex colleague told me when he left, that there was a rumour about me.
As my job requires a certain amount of discretion, it can be a disciplinary matter if it got to me. We are expected to be told or briefed on confidential matters, so gossiping about each other can be seen as breaching that rule. If you spread rumours about a work colleague, can you be trusted with confidential material?

We use our real location (even more detail in our profile) and hope for the best. Ultimately our sex life is our own business. We're not doing anything "wrong" being on here.
If somebody recognises us we'll take the rough with the smooth, or hide our profile or something like that. |

We use our real location. We are lucky where we don't have jobs that require discretion. If anyone we know recognises us then that's fine. They're on here too, so they can't exactly get on their high horse about it
