Hi someone I was chatting to said that as a newbie to this site I need to be wary of fake profiles? How does this happen please? And what do I need to be wary of?

yeah quite a few people lie on here and say they are straight but they actually aren't from my experience I have seen this when a single straight male asks to suck a cock or meeting a T-girl |

Basically fake profiles tend to be pic collectors. So if you have doubt of a fake profile and they're asking for photos, I'd be quite wary in sending any! X |

I work on the theory that anyone who asks to meet me, or sends a friends request is a fake ! (or mad) and I am not sure I want to meet either of those types.
Seriously though, if its a woman, or a couple and they have been on here over a year and have no verifications, and no proper pictures which are not from some porn site then the chances are they MAY be fake.
If something on fab looks too good to be true it probably is;
As for the reverse image search it works well, google images is the one I use and it identifies any other websites that the picture is shown on, like all these things it is not infallible but adds to the armoury of things you can use to keep safe and be sensible on fab.

Oh it’s a nightmare, used to be ok but seems most just want to talk about it, we have given up, don’t bother looking anymore. I suggest you try a club to get verified and there’s more chance of meeting a couple, especially on a party night, good luck |

It's not easy even after several years.
When we joined we were fortunate enough to have a social meet with someone so got verified ourselves as genuine quickly.
Maybe a club or organised social to get verified yourselves. Then that's one hurdle out of the way. |

We’ve encountered a lot of that and it is really off putting! It’s good to find out what people are into but why do they need to delay meeting? It just makes us really suspicious? X |

Also kik helps for asking for verification before a meet or if you are worried about your phone number a cheap sim card and whatsapp but don't link it to your account because it will link it to facebook of you want to keep it a separate life |

If you are using Firefox then install the tin eye plugin and you can just right click the image on the webpage. |

The top things in on our “fake list” are
Old style pictures, why not use current picture?
No meet within 6 months, go to a club or on web cam.
Refusing to send a face picture, what have they got to hide.
Little or no detail on the profile.
Age range 18-99, in reality everyone has an age range. |
