Likewise this. If I want to go with someone, I want to go with them. But what's important to me is having an understanding of anything that may need some considerations/precautions so everyone can play safe, without embassement and has a great time. |

Hi OP. My Dad had a Stoma Bag for 2 years while he battled with Bowel Cancer. I saw the good and bad side to it.
As long as you are honest and tell whoever you guys are meeting about it and let them decide I think its up to the person(s).
If the Stoma Bag is going to be a permanent thing and alot of people dont want to meet after that, I can see it being a problem for your OH and may knock his confidence.
Alot of people don't know what a Stoma Bag is so a bit of Google-ing and answering questions probably will happen. It needs to be looked at as something, not normal, but not weird. That those who have Stoma Bags can still live normal lives and have sex.

Thank you very much and yes we have had meets with understanding people but they are few and far between and we are always up front about it beforehand in the initial contact stages
It is a permanent fixture and yes we lead a normal sex life as a couple but still like to swing but since it was fitted finding it harder nowadays xx |

We think it's like most things, as long as people are honest and explain upfront there shouldn't be an issue. That's why our profile explains about Jez having to inject himself for his equipment to work. |

I know a girl who had the full colostomy. She told me more than once and I though "so you had a camera up your arse, so what"

As an ex nurse , I know about stomas, but would want to be aware of somebody having one before I met them.
Have you considered putting a photo in your profile pics. Explain it's a long standing feature, that does not affect sex except xyz. Happy to answer any questions etc
It wouldn't bother me at all. But it's up to you , if you put it in the profile or tell people once you strike up conversation. It's your profile after all.

We always tell people we are chatting to and leave it upto them as regards meeting and accept it’s not for everyone so we always tell people more or less within the first couple of messages x
