Can someone please explain the various categories to me?

Some of them appear to be very open to interpretation and are often totally misleading.

Here's a rough guide:

Athletic = Somwehere between Seb Coe and Giant Haystacks

Slim = Somewhere between Mahatma Gandhi and Seb Coe

Average = Somewhere between Seb Coe and Giant Haystacks, but out of condition

Curvy, Large, Ample and Fabulous = Giant Haystacks

All labels are open to interpretation...if they dont have pics...ask for them,if they wont send them, ask yourself why

Well just think of them on a 1 - 6 scale of size/ shape. 1 being athletic prob muscular and lean up the fabulous which could be everything upwards from large. Pics are prob the best indicator.

There all open to interpretation its how the individual sees themselves thats why ive never taken any notice and judge if i like someone or not by their pictures

But what is the point in dancing round the truth, it just wastes time. It's mainly curvy and fabulous that I'm bothered about, curvy says nothing about size and fabulous could mean fabulous but slim, or fabulous but large depending on your preference. Sorry but I'm just not into the larger lady. Some guys are. A better system of categorising body size would help everyone and as far as I can see most people who are of the larger persuasion want to be upfront about it.

It's just as a single guy you need to look really hard to find someone and often there are no pictures.

It's also the same for me, I described myself as athletic but I'm a bit muscly too, half and half, I suppose I should say that on my profile.

What I propose is a weight scale as well as a height scale. They have them on other sight, then there is less chance of confusion or wasting anyone's time. Simple enough. Or even a BMI index...?

I mean we are all here for the same reason, to get our rocks off with people we fancy. The sites aims by definition are shallow, so why bother dancing round people's feelings, just be upfront about it.

Well I've put myself down as curvy because I have biggish boobs, a smallish waist and hips. But I also watch what I eat, compete in triathlons regularly and can't really pinch an inch so I don't think I'm near Giant Haystacks yet

BMI is a crap measurement anyway. A short muscular person will have as high a BMI as a short fat person.

Dress size sounds much more useful.

Just a thought ...i'm sure i've seen a browse option located on the site somewhere. Browse women with pics on their profile only and then read the bit that says slim (if thats your preference) and only message those women.

To be honest there are many ways to get what you're after on here. Yes, it involves browsing profiles and messaging people, but it does for singles and couples too! You're at a disadvantage on here by being a single guy but I can assure you, you do not need a significant other to get fun. The large number of singles guys who seem to play successfully shows that.

2/3lb can make a difference of 1 to a bmi. Difference heights and being muscluar can make a difference, bmi and actualy weight are not really good indications are they, surally if you say size 12, 14 or whatever its a better indication. Some people can weigh the same as each other but look completely different. Like i said obsessive. Whats the difference if someone weighed 10stone of 10 and half stone or between bmi of 24 and 27

The internet is an amazing thing. Full of websites that contain information. If anyone doesn't know how to calculate their BMI then straight off, I ain't interested.. unless they still look like Carol Vorderman.

seriously why dont you just ask women you talk to if they have MSN and a web cam, i find it works so much better for me

I dont meet anyone without seeing them on cam, because lots have old pics etc and even tho its only swinging we all want to be attracted to who we meet, and a web cam cant lie

Its better than any fliter you can get on here, even if they did have a BMI or size filter on here anyone can lie on it

I notice you dont have your bmi or clear photo on your profile so if someone messaged you not only would they not know your bmi they wouldnt be able to judge if they liked you or not, as you said some on here like to know straight away

BMI is deceptive anyway - if you are particularly muscly for your height for example it will distort the results.

You haven't answered the very valid point made by two ladies on this thread asking you why, if BMI and size measurements are so important to you, you don't have that information on your own profile and you have a picture which is useless in trying to determine what you look like.

Now you don't of course have to write this info or put a clearer pic up, that's your prerogative, but on the same note don't go and ask it of other people.

Again its the sense of entitlement that gets me, as if people have some god given right to information such as exact measurements, BMi or dress size. Its not internet shopping, there isn't the option for a zoom in feature so you can see every skin pore in close proximity.

If browsing and talking to ladies is a chore until you find the one with the exact requirements then you don't have to be here. My advice would be to write on your profile what you're interest in and use your eyes, or go to clubs where you can see ladies in full living high definition colour and go and ask those who attract you.

And stop asking for threads to be closed when you can't offer any plausible debate.
