Hi All,
I’m sure this has been asked a thousand times so sorry!
Currently looking to go to my first club night, but nervous about attending on my own as a single guy.
Does anyone have any tips or pointers?
Which club is best in my area? Heard a lot of good things about Jaydees.
Thanks! |

Check club reviews and choose the club you'd like to attend. Then check the club's website to see what events they are having and what are the rules for single guys. Most clubs allow single guys in on a Friday but not Saturday, and some clubs do Newbie Nights.
Most clubs run membership scheme, meaning you have to be a member/willing to become a member to attend. But there are some that would let single guys in as guests for certain events (info about that on clubs websites) and then, going by how the person behaved during the event, they might be offered a membership.
Swinging is not a cheap hobby, especially for single guys, so do carefully check the prices of attending on the night plus membership and whether or not you can bring your own alcohol/drinks. If not- the tab would need to be settled before leaving the club. Some clubs are cash only, but there are some where you can pay by card.
If you'd rather stay in the crowd around your age, Jaydees has Fleek and Fabulous event once a month, for under 40. There is forum thread about it.
When you decide which club and event you want, you'd need to contact the club and let them know you're coming. Don't just turn up as you will, most likely, not be allowed in.
When you do go, be yourself, have no expectations whatsoever, and try to be polite and chatty, but not too much in people's faces. Please don't make a mistake that others would know your intentions if you just stare at them. And never ever try to join in uninvited.
Good luck. |

Jaydees is a great club! One of mine and my OH's faves!
My only advice would be don't drink too much and chat to people...if you're friendly and approachable you will have a great time! |

I would recommend the attic for a first time club (on a weekend night when the full club is open). Its is a big club, with lots of people and freindly. It was in fact my first club all that time ago. But the main reason I say great for a first time is there is no membership, just a reasonable entrance fee. So you can going in, experiance the club scene and see if you like it strings free without a big dent in your wallet. |
