We think we’re being too honest about our age. We get very little interest as we’re over 50 but have exchange pics with people who are supposedly 5-10 years younger than us but their pics look older than us!
We also met a couple who stated they were 47. We met them 4 years ago and thought they were over 50. Guess what? 4 years later they’re still 47.
Are we missing out because it’s the hidden truth that more people knock 5 years of their age than don’t.

" our ages are real and up to date. We have caught people out lying before lol. We have told couples they are too old and 6 months later they message again and they are younger than us. When we ask they say no honest thats our age, but the old messages all came up where we turned them down for being way too old lol xx |

I'm honest about my age, people can take it or leave it. I've met people who have lied about age, marital status etc over a drink or coffee, found them out to be liars and never met again. Same as people who get a bit gropey on a social. They just end up blocked. |

These posts do attract people who say their honest about their age which we respect but our gut feel is in 40s or 50s a lot of people drop their age. Although they’re not going to admit it on a public forum .
It could be also that all that sex ages you |

People lie about all sorts of things because they think it increases their chance of a meet - personally I don't see the point, as these things have a funny way of coming out - age hasn't been an inhibitor to me at all, yes it might mean there are some that rule me out because of it, but that's no different to people ruling me out because of any other preference they may have.

We put our real aged but have also found interest has dropped a little in last two years.... we could lie and change them, but if people are put off by a number then it’s there loss

A massive amount of people put a different age to their actual age on dating sites and definitely on this site. I've met countless people who's age is wrong on here.
One reason they do it is not because they want to appear younger, but because it gets round the prohibitive age restrictions people put on their profiles regarding who can contact them. |

We’ve seen posts before we’re someone said ‘I set my age limit at 50 because I know that filters out the 55 year olds’ . So if people expect people with a Fab age of 50 to be really 5 years older then should we just join the hoardes and become 49.
Sounds like on Fab people expect others to be a few years older than their Fab age because that’s their experience. |

I just spat out my tea .. Lol
I don't see why people need to lie .. I'm proud that I'm 48 x

Our ages are real
It’s really pathetic people dropping lots of years off there real ages, numerous times we’ve had exchanges of pics of people supposedly 10 plus years younger than us and it’s a blatant lie unless they’ve a major heroin or drink problem, the term “they must have had a rough life” cones to mind |

Proud to be sixty and don't feel the need to lie about my age (although upon opening my birthday cards recently it was a shock to see 60 on each one lol). Often told I don't look it and I don't feel it either |

I find it funny when you meet people and chat about your childhood and find that, despite them allegedly being 10 years younger, you watched exactly the same TV shows growing up back when there were only 3 channels and one of them showed the open university instead of kids' shows.
Even funnier when they watch kids shows that stopped being shown defore you time.

Don't know if it's just us but we prefer playmates that are older than us. We prefer those who can hold a descent conversation, don't take things too seriously, know what they want and not afraid to convey it and of course the experience. I'm not trying to put everyone our age or younger in the categories opposite to what we like but that's just been our personal experience. |

I think it's getting harder to meet couples op,that's why we have single profiles too.
Socials and clubs are good for getting to know new people.
I think being straight makes it harder too,I (miss)am straight and many couples seek bi fem play.

I would definitely stick to being honest, about your age your desires and everything else.
It will ensure that in the end you meet the kind of people you are attracted too, and that always leads to the best fun.
You certainly look like a lovely couple |

I'm 52 and my prifile says 50 but that was because there was a few that I didn't want to recognise me when I came back had nothing to actually do with wanting to see myself as younger I'm proud to be 52 and if I'm too old then move on by. |

I think you are right. ages on profiles seem to vary.
I can't see the point in lying about your age, in the end old knees (and backs, etc) will show you up..
Best be honest, and that can be sexy as hell.

My age filter is 20-55 because I try not to judge people on their age as it depends entirely on who they are as a person. I also filter in the hope that people wouldn’t lie but I know they do. People lie about a lot of things which is a massive shame.
Society teaches us that women and men (and all other genders) look a certain way or act a certain way at certain ages which for some is going to be the case, but for the most part I’ve had some amazing times with people in their 50’s who were a lot more fun than a fusty 20 something who was dull as dishwater.
I’ve never lied about my age, and even at the still young age of 38 I’m definitely not going to start either! I’ll still be swinging into my 70’s hopefully! |

My age is correct, and yes, I really do look much younger.
People are always amazed at how young I do look on meeting probably because so many people do lie about their age and they are expecting the worst. So if they don't believe me, bad luck |

Just turned 46, and suddenly I am invisible. A lot of people I'd like to message set a filter of 45. So I can see the temptation to adjust the details slightly.
But its the thin end of the wedge, where you create profiles to match what people are looking for, rather than an accurate one.

Have a look at a picture of Paul Gascogne and Hugh Jackman. Roughly the same age but could look up to 10 years either side of their actual ages in our opinion. It’s hard to tell if someone is 45 or 50 generally as you don’t know the miles on the clock . |

I once met a guy for a social who said he was 56 but turned out to be 76, he actually could have got away with saying 66 as he was quite young in mind and body so I’d have believed him. 20 years was pushing it though. |

This also brings about the fact that the person is using deception to gain sex, some instances of similar things have been prosecuted.
If that person knows that they wouldn't be able to have sex with the person if they admitted their age, so they lie, have they removed the consent by being deceptive? |

Our ages are inaccurate, not by any margin that would affect anyone's choices (less than 2 years).
It makes it a little bit harder for a certain user to be sure that it's us when they try to stalk. |

For a free site i think its actually pretty good
Yes things could be changed and the site updated
Also the price of £5 for 30 or 60 days is pretty cheap in my opinion.
If you don’t like it, delete profile;) pretty simple

Lots of guys have filter up to 99.

We do seem to be getting less meeting's,
Due to our age shown which is correct on our profil
Won't change us.
if couples don't like it that's up to them.
We don't feel are age but still have an active social life whether it's in this
lifestyle or vanilla lifestyle.
we are both young at heart and enjoy our fun times when we do meet. |

I disagree, if you gain consent knowing you only got it because you lied, you've changed the circumstances of the consent by lying so therefore the consent is no longer there. |

A strong principled stance, but where does that extend to? Because i can think of a number of practices that could be included here which are considered standard, commonplace, legal and not that but effectively endorsed under the legal system |

We don't ask people's ages in clubs, it doesn't define attraction. But to arrange off here, send pics then you meet and they are older or nothing like pics is wasting everyone's time. It happened to us when we started out, they were pub socials but non the less we were put off |

I'm honest about my age.
Can't see the point in lying about it.
I know some people alter dates a little, to avoid actual birthday as a security thing.
There's one guy local to me, I was 'warned' about him when I joined, by a friend who's been in here 6yrs that he'd been on the site for as long as they could remember, makes new profiles regularly.
In the 2yrs I've been on, he's had 3 that I know of/have spotted, is now 8yrs younger than when he first messaged me, & still posting the same pics.
No idea how old those pics actually are or if he even has his own hair & teeth these days |

There's several cases where people have been prosecuted (in other countries) for lying about their job in order to get sex. It might just be a morality issue in this country but that doesn't make it right. I think it's absolutely disgusting to lie about anything with the sole intention of using it to get sex with someone who otherwise wouldn't consent to it. |
