No I mean like a real professional burlesque venue where they put on a show, we used to have one here but I never went, now I’m really interested in going to one but can’t find one, maybe they don’t even exist anymore, can’t imagine it though there must be one somewhere |

Considering the ridiculous fuss the media have made the last few years about Burlesque you would think it was fairly common... but no. I’ve looked before and it always seems to be just the odd special event. |

It’s because you lose so much money on the nights. There just aren’t enough bums on seats, the producers lose a small fortune and the venues don’t make the money behind the bar.
The only one that does well in Blackpool now is Burlesque Noir. It’s amazing! Usually later in the year though. Always massive acts, and a great atmosphere. Check out fbook for burlesque events near you xx |

I was thinking this, you would think it’d be so popular especially in Blackpool, as wonderful as funny girls is It’s not the same only one gender (don’t mean that in an offensive way whoever takes it that way) will keep my eyes peeled too |

It’s such a shame, it looks so beautiful and I’ve never really esperienced what it’s all about, I can imagine it being truly inspirational. Ah right I’ll have a nosy, thank you xx |
