Help... should I cancel my social meet?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I’m babysitting my niece today and can’t find someone to watch her for 2 hours...

But I have a strictly coffee meet with a lady from Fab and I don’t want to let her down... I know single men get a bad reputation on here for being time wasters and she has driven 30 minutes to meet me....

So Should I cancel the meeting, or bring my niece along?

This social is going to be in Starbucks...

Please help , time is of the essence...

But the woman drove 30 minutes..... I don’t want to be thought of as a time waster....

This woman might name and Shame me....

Besides my niece will be playing with her iPad and not paying attention to us....

And next time don't arrange a meet when you have other responsibilities. It's beyond creepy taking a kid to meet a potential sex partner

"And next time don't arrange a meet when you have other responsibilities. It's beyond creepy taking a kid to meet a potential sex partner"

What don’t you understand?... it’s a no sex social in a Starbucks....

This 2019 , people do have no sex socials to decide if they want to have sex in the future....

So I should make this woman drive 30 minutes and waste her time? Or just give my niece some chocolate milk and her iPad...

The least I should do is buy this lady a coffee for her traveling to me...

If I don’t meet her , I’ll never get another meet from Fab...

It’s hard being a single guy on here...

Quickly msg her and explain the situ, she may appreciate the early notice and she may not be bothered having your niece there. Might work in your favour.

Firstly what time is said coffee? Because that’s a really early coffee date if at 8am. It’s half hour drive not 3 hours.

Did you not realise you had your niece when you set this meeting up?

Do not take her or if you do take her because we aren’t gods that can change your mind, let her know in advance so she can make the informed choice.

Get me a danish while you are there

Correct, you should profit on this idea...

For a small fee you can play with the children at the coffee socials....while the adults enjoy their coffee and adult chat...

Please remember to charge higher fees , if the parents on the socials are playing without consent...... you wouldn’t want the other half to think you are a mistress and playing with their children....

Contact the lady I'm question and explain your situation as your more likely to get a better response then if you just decide to cancel with out any explanation.

If you don't know the woman i.e first meet I'd probably avoid taking the child as just as you would going to see a man you want to see what type vibes you get and i know a lot of parents would be very unhappy to hear their child went to see a stranger regardless of the location time etc

Please help , time is of the essence..."

Let her know the circumstances if she isn't sympathetic and understanding you are best rid.

I think children and this site this lifestyle should not be mixed not because life makes it inappropriate because in life the penis avatar of the op has a niece and he's looking after his niece that's not the problem because that relationship is nothing to do with this life but because children and the world of the written forum forumite don't mix the mere mention of them ignites alarm bells and passion.

"Seems like the OP wants people’s opinion but has already made their mind up. Every post that says “no, cancel” has a response that says “but it’s only a coffee”

Personally I’d prefer to be cancelled on in this situation. But each to their own

So you don’t mind driving 30 minutes then being cancelled on?

Instead of being on here asking for advice on something then ignoring it, I’d have messaged the lady in question and told her before setting off...saving the 30 minute drive. But that’s just me. Again, every answer that has been to the tune of “just cancel” you’ve come back with “but this but that” almost defensively, like you already decided to meet anyway and you just want people to back up your decision..if that’s the case, then why ask people’s opinions ?

Please don't take your niece. It's not the correct atmosphere to take a child.

Also, you may get on with that lady via fab or off here but there's still a chance she may not be who she says. Or she may not look like her pics.

Anything could happen. You wouldn't want to put your niece into a potentially awful/awkward situation.

Weather this is really just a spin-off for another thread or not, I personally don't believe that children should be connected with any kind of fab meet whether that means meeting for coffee, somebody off fab approaching you when you're out and about with a child (or without), or children in the house even if they are very young when you have intimate friends over. Just my view of course.

Hey guys it was to prove the disparity that many have. In the other thread it was argued that it was ok to bring a child to a coffee social, a few said no, many said she can do what she likes as if there were no issues surrounding it. Here because its a guy people jump down his throa* inferring abduction, sexuality abuse, scaring of the child's vulnerable mind (I guess those people don't allow their childeen to play video games). Paranoid comes to mind with some responses. His post served well what it was intended to reflect.

It seems to me that regardless of anything to do with gender of people meeting, people did not think it was a wise move to have a child with them even on the most social of meets in a public place, on both of the threads.

I certainly do not care what gender the adults are, same sex difference, male travelling to meet female with child, or female travelling to meet male with child, whatever, I don't think many people did agree on either thread that it was ok to involve a child, at all in your potential sex life.

What a person decides to do with their body is perfectly acceptable.. but choosing to put a child in potential danger is beyond the beyond...

"Hey guys it was to prove the disparity that many have. His post served well what it was intended to reflect.it was a good thread. served its purpose

My opinion is that it was unnecessary shit stirring but we can’t all hold the same opinion can we

This happened to us once, we arranged a social with a couple and they turned up with their nephew, I found it so weird. If I found out my brother or sister took my kid to meet a randomer they’d never met to a sex interview because let’s face it, there will be flirting and talk of a potential second meet,, so that’s what it is, id go mental. Male or female, this world isn’t for bringing kids along

The woman who did this for real is being described as "almost a daint" in the other thread while male version is a sex offender

"I’m babysitting my niece today and can’t find someone to watch her for 2 hours...

Please help , time is of the essence..."

did you cancel it and has she spoken to you since?

Pretty sure the thread was a social experiment.

If my sister brought my child to a meet even at a coffee shop with a complete stranger she met online then she wouldn't be having my child ever again. It doesn't matter that it's a female. It doesn't matter that it's just coffee. That is your niece.

This thread is hilarious. Asks for advice and then argues the toss if he doesn't like the advice. I wouldn't be happy if I turned up to find a child had been brought along. Would probably turn around and go home. With warning I might be more amenable to still meeting for coffee.

That's because it's not real, he's proving a point, and did it very well in my opinion, nicely done OP, I'm sure Shapiro and Crowder would be proud haha

"I dont see a problem to be honest

So you agree exposing children to strangers from a sex site is ok? Really??"

90% of adults watch and are signed up to porn and sex sites. So you implying that we lock our kids away from others. Devil'ss advocate)

The biggest danger to our children in relation to abuse and grooming is not from real strangers but from those closest. Proven fact. This seems to be the concern from those consuming it. However there are a few on here who condemned this scenario (and that's all it was) and yet supported the lady in the other post (real scenario)

The OP did well to demonstrate many issues of inconsistency between mindset and the sexes on this site.
