I’ve been admiring naval piercings on ladies for a while now and it’s gradually dawned on me that I might like one myself....so what’s the issue I hear you cry?!
I’m body confident but probably a tad self-conscious that my belly isn’t flat...do piercings look as sexy on less-than-flat tummies?!
And a forum search reveals that belly piercings take the longest to heal - is that true for those with experience? Xx |

Navel piercings.. can be temperamental mainly due to belts and waistbands, etc.
I would have a chat with a reputable piercer as we are all anatomical different and some of us don’t have suitable navels.
I would suggest a curved barbel rather than a ball closure ring as its snug and doesn’t twist.
Healing wise 4 to 6 weeks, but that can be aided by good sleep, diet and cleaning the piercing.
Once healed there’s an array of rings and jewellery... on that note I suggest titanium |

Good advice.
I had a naval piercing with a titanium curved bar but had to remove it after 18 months as it never healed and was always very sore even though I looked after it and myself.
This is just my own personal experience and I encourage you to make your own informed decisions on piercings.
Having said that, my tummy is a mummy tummy and I also hate belly buttons, so wanted to make mine more attractive for me not for others. It did look very pretty indeed and I could start enjoying my tummy being touched knowing that the person wouldn't accidentally touch the inside of my belly button resulting in me making a loud and overly dramatic wretching sound followed by panting ... I would love to add a "just kidding" here but you only have to ask my bf and he would tell you from first hand experience my passion killer noise lol
Anyway, if you decide to go for it then I hope you're one of the lucky ones to enjoy your piercing for a long time. If not, it can always be removed and will heal.
Take care x |

Thank you for sharing that hun - eek to the tales of touching the inside but useful to know so my fella and any play partners can be warned haha!
You make a good point - it can always be removed which is far easier to deal with than tattoo removal x |

I pierced mine 3 times and they were fine for a few months but if i banged them on something it'd start to work itself out. So never managed to keep one in.

Banana barbell.
If you go to a proper piercer he/she should be able to advise you on what piercing would be best and where to place it exactly. |

Mine took months and months to heal, was extremely sore and uncomfortable while healing and 15 years later can still be sore and uncomfortable.
If I ever had to take it out I wouldn't have it done again.
But everyone heals differently, and there's a good chance it'll heal fine but just be aware it may not be a straight forward healing process. |

Thank you for that hun - it’s why I wanted to ask on here so I get a broad range of answers before making my decision. I know we are all different when it comes to healing x |

Ive had my belly piercing about 15 years . I had a bar put in when it was first done and i found that it would work it way up or down depending what waistband i was wearing and it would get really sore and tight . I replaced it with a ring and have had no trouble at all since .
Mine healed really quickly as i kept it clean with the solution they gave me .
Good luck

Ive had belly buttom piercing for almost 20years.
only issue I had was wearing low waisted jeans and reaching into the shopping trolley in Asda doing the grocery shop and managing to get the belly bar caught in the side of the trolley...ouch |

Looking at your pics I can confirm you have exactly the right belly button and tummy to support a belly piercing. In my humble opinion that is!
If you want to get one definitely go for it and do it for you.
Just keep it clean when it’s healing and try not to catch it so it can heal xx good luck! |

I've got a naval and a reverse naval piercing, had them for about 20 years.
They can take awhile to heal, the thing to remember is to keep them clean and try to avoid wearing clothes were the waistband will rub on the piercing as it is this that aggravates the new piercing.
When I had them done I had ball closure rings put in, as these are less likely to catch on anything and are easier to keep clean, also remember to keep turning the ring to stop it from scabbing up, just the same as when you first have ears pierced.
I have had a couple of issues when they have got a bit sore, but nothing major,
hope this helps and I think it would look gorgeous on you as you look fantastic anyway xx |

Sounds like I need an initial piercing that’s not easy to catch or knock, keep turning it & keep it clean xx"
And don’t forget to post a picture for us when it’s done |
