Not swinging advise but I have a new suit for a wedding 3 piece navy blue, I have brown tanned shoes and a belt to go with it, but what colour shirt and tie is confusing me I've bought a scarlet red tie but could change that and no idea on shirt colour, to be honest I like to be naked so clothes for me are just about keeping warm I never think about designs or colour coordination, help please as I want to look good for this wedding (not mine lol) |

Navy blue is a good choice, loads of colours go well.
Classic white or light pink shirt. Marroon is a good colour for the tie though you could have something much brighter if youre looking for a less formal look |

Navy is good for a wedding - glad you avoided black.
A lot depends on how formal the wedding is, of course, but I would normally go with a white shirt and colourful tie. Red on white looks good if you didn't want to change the tie you've bought, but is a bit work-like. Blue on blue might look a bit dated, imho.
But, as others have said, if it's quite a casual, summery wedding, you could go without a tie and pick a bolder-shirt.
Most important of all is to ignore any advice on here and wear something you like and feel comfortable in - that's how you'll feel best!
P.s. if going with a date, check what colour her dress is! |
