Berlin trip - sex clubs

Going to Berlin end of the month. Any good swingers clubs? So far insomnia seems the best swingers club.
KitKat club seems to have some poor reviews and is a bit too drug friendly from the sounds of it |

In for answers very keen to go as well
We would think Kitkat should be visited just to say you've done it, not to be taken too seriously.
But there must be loads of real Swinging clubs around Berlin?? |

I would definitely recommend Insomnia. I haven't been for a year or so but it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g !
Couples only large lounge upstairs with a LOT going on. Downstairs was like a scene from a movie. Disco based but with everything going on all over th place. The more private (but still open) spaces at the rear near the showers were also packed. 10/10 and hoping it's never changed! |

We went to Avarus on a Friday night. It was very sumptuously decorated but nearly empty all night. Barbecue was good though. Be aware that when they say the dress code for men is black shorts they mean it! |

Been to Berlin a few times now.
Insomnia is a great option. A good blend of kink and swing and nightclub. We actually liked Weds the best which is the fetish night in the basement but all nights have been good there.
Avarus is a really nice club, but not hugely busy on the nights we have been. Then again have gone to the couples nights and it's been a welcome break from all the craziness elsewhere in this great city.
KitKat Club was an amazing experience. Complete sensory overload when we went on a Saturday night. Had to queue for ages and surprised we got in but took us a while to acclimatise to the masses of barely dressed bodies, swimming pool, techno club areas, jazz band (!), dungeons, stage magicians (!) and so on. We left at 5am Sunday and the place was still going til Monday morning! Obviously the duration of partying in Berlin lends itself to recreational drugs and this is almost baked into the culture there, but not in a bad way and it's never in your face (unless you visit Gorlitzer Park!). I'd always recommend the KitKat club purely to say you have done it...
Actually, Insomnia was a break-away club started by one of the original KitKat owners. She's quite a famous Dom in the German media too, and is really nice (in a Dom sort of way!).
There are other places as well. I'd recommend looking at the joyclub.de website (run through chrome to get a translation) as they have an events database for everything happening in the city on a given day. It's basically a German version of fab. |

Swinger friendly places to stay, best time of year etc |

Just be aware clubs in Germany Switzerland and Austria are "way different" to clubs in the UK.
All tend to have higher prices but food and other is included in the prices but they are strict in clothing and behavour...
1 step out of line and it's "there is door bye"... Also a "No" is a "No"
Before going to a specific club research it, as some are very strong into BDSM and then "soft" swinging is frowned on ... And two / three words of German are helpful but do not think they don't understand English..90% of Germans and Swiss understand English and can fluently reply to questions (Their English is sometimes better then mine - but lucky me has a hubby who is fluent in High Germand the dialects ) |

I (Caine) lived in Berlin for 2 years in the early 90's unfortunately before I found the swinging world so I can't advise I'm afraid.
What I will say is that it was the best 2 years of my life, Berlin offers so much especially around the Kurfürstendamm area. I hope you have a wonderful time. |

Ku’damm... love it!
Check out the Currywurst Museum when you are not playing with sausages that have a pulse! |

We went to Berlin and Insomnia in June. The venue was great although we would have preferred some private rooms too.
The one thing that surprised us is that while the rule here is to ask before touching, over there it’s the opposite. They’ll just start feeling you up until you say no; was getting quite fed up of having my arse grabbed tbh. Wasn’t sure about the ‘paid entertainers’, but now we know what to expect we would go back. |

The clubs are lush, plush and pricey. You could try Bar möchtegern (trans: "Don't mind if I do"),in the Leibnizstraße in Charlottenburg. Check out their website. We went there a couple of years ago and had a great time. Couples go in for free, drinks are almost normal prices and it's not at all rough or pushy and you can dress up or not as you want to. "Alles kann sein, nichts muss". |
