Thinking of hiring a boat for my birthday, cheeky few drinks canal side, just wondered if anyone had experience of canal boats/small boats & if easy to manoeuvre.
Equally anyone had fun on a boat? |

Just spent a month sailing in the Caribbean. Plenty of fun had! |

Unless you act like an imbecile it's hard to go wrong with a canal boat. I've had loads of great holidays on them over the years and I'm slowly saving for my own. For me, there's no better way to relax. |

The long 40ft plus narrow boats can be tricky if it's a windy day and you're inexperienced.
It's part of my entertainment watching holiday makers being swept around a canal basin desperately trying to avoid hitting the plastic cruisers.
Bit boring for me for a birthday treat but enjoy if you do hire one. |
