When meeting, is it common to get to know someone on a name basis (adding their private social media etc)?. Or do you completely separate private life from swinging? Just curious. |

I guess it depends on the person. They might not want to share their 'vanilla' (=non swinging) life with anyone they have met through swinging. Everyone is different and will have different reasons, but I wouldn't like my swinging friends looking me up on Facebook, that's too stalkery. |

I personally don't. I don't even use my real name when I do meet someone. Not untill we've established a relatonship and I don't add them on social media |

There is no reason to go beyond first names, and mixing social media and swinging is the very last thing we would ever want to do.
Why would you want someone to be able to broadcast to your family and friends what you have been up to? |

We don't use our real names, or exact location, as this would immediately give us away on social media etc.
Unless we meet people several times intimately, and get to know them very well, would they get to know details from us. |

Well OP I have two phones and give out my play phone number only. That number is linked to my ‘play’ Facebook and Instagram accounts. My profile has my Twitter and Kik names. All OK as nothing is linked back to my vanilla life. I don’t even sync the iPhone but back it up regularly.
If people give me their mobile phone for WhatsApp or to Kik on the day movements then I don’t go adding them on any of the above. If I’m sent a friend request then I assume they wanted that and accept.

"First name only, generally. No social media.
Same x
This for me too
What if one has an unusual name? Would you give it? "
My surname is pretty unique, so not a chance for that. First name is pretty generic. |

Never share any names other than first one.
The Facebook thing is a problem if sharing numbers - as it may suddenly start "suggesting friends" as they're in your contacts.... which can be a little disconcerting... I have mine locked down so cant be traced via number.
kik…? lol |

I give my first name, it's common enough, and my general area (already on my profile).
But I've been found on FB by someone determined to be friends with me there (based only on my first name and town --he was on a mission).
FB location duly set to London.
While the vast majority of people I've met here are great, the few creepy crawlies are enough to scare me for good.
