Hi
Has anyone who has had an erotic photoshoot before or is planning to have one?
We would imagine them to be really expensive, it would be great to find someone on here that could take imaginative, sexy, alluring pics for us to enjoy as a couple and share some on our profile.
Any ideas, suggestions or good advice would be very much appreciated.

I would say use a professional who has all the equipment, proper disclaimers and release forms and a reputation to uphold. It probably would be expensive but worth it in my opinion.
There are people on here who will offer to do it for you. There's only one I would trust.
An alternative is to get a tripod, decent camera and use the time delay.

Hiya, not sure if this is helpful as you would have to travel but Townhouse do photo shoots, they are very inexpensive and the results are usually amazing, it tends to be a mix of people who want to model and people who are photographers, it’s not a play event, it’s purely using the club for beautiful, naughty pics have a look on their club website and keep an eye in the forums, I think there might be one coming up, would be worth a road trip Mrs blue eyes |

Make sure you take your own SD Card if you are meeting someone off here and take it away at the end of the session. If they don’t agree to that then don’t do it.
You can get surprisingly good results from a decent phone camera there are some great Apps out there to edit your pictures. Snapseed and Adobe Photoshop mix/fix are all free on iOS (don’t know about android) and are very simple to use after a bit of tinkering.
A tripod is a must and either use the timer delay or get a Bluetooth shutter release button from eBay for a pound or two. Then all you need is a decent setting outdoor or in with good lighting and bobs your uncle. Lots of laughs and naughty fun to be had.

There's a lot to consider before we decide what to do but for now we have picked up some really useful tips to enhance our own photo taking.

I'm commenting as an ex pro photographer (Jim)
Like anything else in life you get what you pay for.
One of the biggest issues is location, you want photos that look good - well you need a studio/set or suitable venue. One of the biggest issues is having enough headroom to get lights and softboxes up high enough.
You need time. There is both set up time and costume changes as well as makeup. This can take hours sometimes.
You need a relaxed, comfortable working environment.
You need a photographer who knows what he is doing and who has a decent llighting set up. I reckon my studio lights, soft boxes, snoots, stands etc. cost a few thousand pounds. With the ideal, well researched venues he might be able to use natural light.
And if someone else takes your photo that person (not you) owns the copyright, so be clear about what you are going to get and what the images might be used for.
No decent photographer who is any good is going to let you take away a memory card with images there and then. In most cases he/she will shoot RAW in any event (so they won't be much use to anyone) and secondly he will want complete control over the processing.
So my advice is you want really good work expect to pay quite a lot up to say £1K for a day (studio, photographer and processed images).
You want ok images find a really talented person who can do Ok with limited resources. (e.g. the images on our profile, were shot on a fairly simple camera in our conservatory with no artificial light). They are OK for here but not of a standard I'd normally do. Hard to say how much someone might want for that, but there is still quite a bit of time and travel involved.
You want normal FABs standard? Just find some guy with a camera, give him an SD card and he'll probably do it if he can have a wank whilst doing so. Known in the trade as GWC's (Guy With Camera - i.e. no knowledge whatsoever)

Yes there are some sneaky buggers out there! That being said there are also some really good photographers on here. Just be very wary as with everything else. The advice about looking at club websites for photoshoot events is great too. Something we have considered doing in the past as they have some great equipment in the dungeon!

Purpleport is a viable source..there are some great erotic photographers around Cheltenham area.Madcowmodels may also be a good bet but Model Mayhem may be too commercially orientated for your project.
In terms of style, make sure you discuss exactly what you're after although the photographer may be able to direct you if you're unsure. Personally, all the erotic stuff I did was in B & W. There are many camera options too. Film is becoming popular again but one must appreciate the fact that the film must be processed in a darkroom and if you choose this format, check that the photographer has access too and experience in darkroom processing.
Dual card slots are reserved for pro level cameras although any digital camera will suffice as its down to technique and the photographer knowing his camera.
Also remember things like copyright - that always remains solely with creator of the content (in this case the photographer).
If you have privacy concerns then either provide your own camera or memory card. In terms of internal storage, yes, you can take a photo without the storage card being in the camera, but that image is a preview image only. Turn the camera off, turn it on and the image is gone!

Our advice would be to spend some time taking your own. You'll have a lot of fun and learn a lot about composition, posing and photography in general along the way. Plus your photos will better represent you and how you want others to ser you. |

This used to be my job as a staff photographer for a couple of the top shelf magazines. The key is all in the preparation ie a great setting , some lovely clothing and lingerie and a really good make up artist. Then it’s up to the photographer to use all of those elements and make the couple feel relaxed so they get the best out of the shoot.
Photoshopping is essential these days to get that high quality feel to the images so suggestions of taking the images away on your own as card or even taking them on their own iPhone may not produce the best results .
All of the above is expensive but as the old adage says you do get what you pay for and a memory and photograph properly done could last a lifetime.

I had some wonderful boudoir photos taken... there's 2 or 3 on the profile. They will do more erotic photos on request but don't advertise this.
A really good photographer isn't cheap but is worth the expense for the quality.
The photographer who did mine usis in Barnsley, which is probably a bit far for you to travel.

We’ve done a couple ourselves, with C as the model and S as the photographer, and they’ve come out pretty well. For couple shots we’ve used a remote trigger on the camera, and that produces decent results if you take the time to set things up.
We’ve not considered using a professional, or even just a friendly amateur, but Jim’s points above are massively valid. Also make sure that you create a modelling contract that states explicitly what can and can’t be done with the images, and have both parties sign it.
If it’s an amateur/friend or a contact from here, provide your own camera and memory cards as you then retain ownership of the images. Somebody who has offered to help you out by providing their expertise should have no drama with this if they are genuine. However, this does mean you may not get a chance to get any editing or enhancement in Photoshop and the like, and they may look less polished.
If you want to get a pro phot from a service like PurplePort then do the research first, check their references and if possible talk to the models they’ve worked with. There is also a big difference between boudoir photography, erotic photography and standard portraiture, so make sure the person you do hire has experience and talent in what you want

I have yes. I was completely naked. Photos were done in a classy artistic manner, not pornographic.
A female friend took them for her portfolio during her professional training. I would never allow anyone from this site take pics of me in any state of undress. |

Male half here, I used to do a lot of photo shoots with models and have a full Elinchrom studio setup. However, I'm not really looking for the work though.
You need a fair bit of time (I'd suggest at least half a day - don't forget makeup, hair and costume changes) and a suitable location - most modern houses do not have high enough ceilings for big softboxes (those things on the lights).
Would probably cost £500 - £1000 (very rough price) for anyone decent.
Photos on our profile are by me but are just 'snaps' not studio work. |

Always been happy to just snap away with the iPhone to get half decent pics, cannot see the point of an erotic photo shoot unless you are taking up paid work or for your own vanity. After all are you going to get them blown up and put on your wall? If we turned up for a meet and they had erotic shots of themselves on the wall we’d probably go home |

Leo is a trained photographer and would be happy to do shoots for expenses only (petrol and lunch).
He's taken all our profile shots and helped 4 other couples and 2 single ladies on here and privately.
Pro Canon 5D Mark 2 camera, a few high quality lenses with lights.
Open offer to anyone that would be interested.
Leo just does it for fun and experience.

Never paid for my pics, always owned the SD card, so the pics are definitely mine, and up to me where I post them.
Have had guys try to post them on FB, and there's all sorts of wonderful laws to stop that these days!  |

Whilst this may be a wise move with a 'guy with a Camera' a pro will never do that because
a) The image copyright generally ALWAYS legally remains with the photographer.
b) He will normally only shoot RAW which must be converted before it can be viewed (think of it as a digital negative)
c) The photographer will want to process the images himself before sending them to the client.
As with most things in life; you get what you pay for. |

Although a reasonably good camera does help
Finding a venue or location can be difficult
But there is a lot of fun to be had

I'm amazed by the level of ignorance of some people and they still want to have their words on everything!
A pro photographer will use professional lights, professional camera and professional editing software and of course their experience and knowledge to produce good images
A professional photographer will have to edit the images so bringing your SD card would make that impossible!
Comparing a mobile phone to a pro camera just makes me laugh.
Being a professional photographer on here doesn't mean they are to perv on you. |
