Matthew Street is buzzing at night. Great as a tourist treat in the day but comes to life at night. The bierkeller at Liverpool 1 is a good place too. The docks has some nice bars but they can be a bit pricey. Enjoy Liverpool |

I can heartily recommend "The Philharmonic" on Hope St (Near the RC Cathedral) and "The Shipping Forecast" on Slater St (good selection of ales and fantastic music. My friends and I visited both these last Saturday. "The "Phil" is an historic pub with wonderful period decor - the Gents toilets have to be seen to be believed ha ha.
Have a fantastic time. It's a wonderful city - but do book your accommodation in the city centre, as late night taxis out of town can be extremely difficult to come by. |

If you are staying there you need to get d*unk before you arrive, and stay d*unk your entire stay. Its the worse hotel in the world, a dirty smelly dump. Find a park bench on the trip in, you'll be much happier with the result. Good luck. |
