Yes most are fake ,pic collector only use it to stay in contact with freinds who u have met or to verify if genuine on cam that's all

I use kik and I'm genuine and always show up!

I met 3 ladies on there before I found them of fab. Have met and verified them all!

I only chat on kik, I find it impossible to follow a conversation on here due to not having a thread and because of the volume of messages I receive. I’m not going to give my number to a stranger so kik is perfect. Don’t see why kik users are deemed any less genuine than any other method of communication

I always start with Kik and once the guy seems genuine swap to WhatsApp. Saying that my most regular meet and I still use Kik

We use kik, we have never just not turned up when a time and day has been set, have had to cancel once though but gave notice.

We like to make sure we would be able to chat in person with whomever we choose to meet no point in meeting for a social if you can't hold a conversation.

All of my meets off here have chatted through kik at some point, I find it much easier to use kik to message rather the cumbersome message service on here.

I even have my kik in my profile, you get the odd dingbat, but no difference to getting the oddball message on here.

Not been an issue for me tbh.

Fakes and time wasters use every platform. its up to you to prove they are genuine.

It’s very easy to get a Live Photo on kik and there’s a button that allows you to FaceTime them.

Weve never had any issues with people we genuinely think will meet

We start off on fab and the if we like each other's photos then we move to kik as its just easier and also allows a group where we can all chat from our own phones in a group without having to provide and personal contact details.

We've had some that never end up meeting but you can soon tell as they avoid conversations on meeting and disappear for a day or two then back with ' How are you today?'

We don't provide unlimited pics and never share our videos plus don't do cam play. If someone wants to see more then they need to arrange that first social meeting.

There are genuine and time wasters no matter what medium but we've found kik to be a useful way for either of us to talk when we want to.

Almost all of my meets have been off the back of kik chats but I do agree there are some fakes escorts and video and picture collectors on there

This ^. It's how we nearly always chat with people as it's easier to have a conversation, and to see if you're compatible. I think every meet we've ever had was arranged on kik.

I think the lessons are perhaps twofold:

1) there are fakes & time wasters on any platform, as others have said. It's less about how they message, than figuring out if they are

2) not aimed specifically at the OP, but I guess we ought to ask ourselves whether we are sure that if it fizzles out, that it isn't just that they're not interested...? Some messages it's been obvious we're not compatible - and no doubt, the same the opposite direction in other instances.

I get the impression you come across quite pushy with the 'women just chat chat chat' comment. Maybe they are trying to find that connection and don't have it with you so they decide not to meet. Might be worth looking at how you are messaging these people. Good luck with your journey though. X

I use kik it has its uses, I have a love hate relationship with it, sometimes I don’t log on for a while and others I’m using it really regular.

I’ve met more of the guys I kik with than I have those that random message. Very few have my number for WhatsApp, to many weirdos about.

Regarding kik, tend to find pic collectors ask if you use it very early ie do you swap videos on kik.

We use it to set up meets, but only after a bit of chatting on here

Maybe OP you just need better filtering. Or set yourself a timescale, chat for no more than x days or weeks without planning an actual meet.

I always ask for us both to take a picture from the camera, that's a great feature.

I chat longer than some like, perhaps, but I've cancelled a grand total of one meet (but it was "something terrible has happened, I'm so sorry, can we reschedule". And we did, and it was great). I get called a timewaster for moving at my pace, occasionally, but I think my veris speak for themselves at this stage.

For me most are time wasters...I know a lot of people on here use Kik because of privacy etc,and it works for them... Unfortunately I can't say it works for me as I've been stood up a few times,so I don't use it anymore

Use kik, but normally we've chatted plenty or met beforehand? Normally if in the first two or three messages on here they ask if we have kik and surprise surprise they have one or two cam veris from over a year on here then we just drop contact instantly?

I always use kik to chat to some1 if we seem to be getting on. I won’t give out my number and kik is a better way for me to suss the person out. If we get on and can have banter then i will meet them. If not i say goodbye and block. I am always happy to still chat after a meet if the other person wants to.

Completely understand that - I usually let the person I'm getting to know decide which platform works best for them in terms of their confidence. Helps confirm me to be genuine and a decent person, but don't hesitate to swap numbers if wanted too.

It’s due to the lack of accountability.

You don’t have to give your name, you don’t exchange numbers, you’re untraceable.... all classic signs of a time waster.

I never downloaded kik for this very reason.

Obvs kik is not for you which is fair enough

But with prob most of fab on it and with a live pic and video chat option plus faster messaging service but with the discretion of no mob number(WhatsApp and messenger too if they req it)think you'll find your in the minority on this one

Excellent for group chat(upcoming events/private partys etc) only downside is max 50 members

On our couples profile we have chatted to a few couples. We've actually had socials etc. But we've also chatted to alot of time wasters!! I like it as its abit of an ice-breaker. Never do WhatsApp etc..

We use kik to arrange social and if there is no enthusiasm to set a date quickly then we remove. Its also a way in which we can set up a group so. Jth S and I can chat at the same time. After a soci its a great way to then arrange a play date.

I think it depends very much on what you use it for. It's not our experience because we don't do it, but it seems to be a common complaint that explicit sex talk seems to often lead to no shows, in whatever format it happens, not just kik

I’ve always used kik to meet with couples and it’s always worked great for me, even though I’m a single guy.

Sure, there’s been times that I’ve been let down or the conversation has been dragged on forever without any action at the end, so I would say that you need to be patient because the wait is worth it at the end.

Just wait to meet the genuine people out there

I use kik, it works great, much easier to follow the thread of conversations, and keep good communications without the delays of fab.

Top tip though, check how old the kik profile is....most of my issues have been with kik profiles that are only a day or two old.....

I use Kik if I'm asked to by any woman who feels more secure that way, but happy to WhatsApp or text if preferred - then speak on the phone as and when. I try to be as flexible as possible and fit in with a woman or couple to help establish that I'm one of the good guys.

No! We use kik when we have decided we like someone/couple enough to make firm arrangements with - i find its easier chatting on kik than on here, as its easier to refer back to messages.

It's really simple see how long they've had the account for. A week/ month? Don't trust it.

Mine's the same as my profile name and had it for 1538 days. How long have you had your telephone number.

Actually, I've nearly had that for 10yrs and don't mind sharing.

Although not an exhaustive test i randomly searched girls names with 2 digits. Eg emma88. Repeated 10 times. They ALL had been on there for over 1500 days. Many over 3000. Admitedly they're probably not used any more but all scamming accounts are newly set up.

Kik works great for me. If I like the look of someone, I'll ask if they have Kik. Then I'll ask if they're free to video call. Most genuine guys are happy to do so. Filters out the time wasters. X

Personally find kik is great never had anyone stand me up from there, unlike fab where I’ve had one no show and one no show when we had chatted on the phone less than two hours before meeting . Just because you’ve heard that people have been let down when using kik doesn’t make it any worse than fab or any other forms of contact! At least with kik you can video call without having to exchange numbers, no worries then about fake pics!
