Just got off the phone with a couple arranging a meet, said for my protection I want face pics etc they hung up, blocked me and sent me a message calling me a fucking pleb... Wow no. Wonder they have no verifications
Now was that me being a ass hole or... |

I would NEVER meet anyone without seeing at least a couple of face photos (never trust just one, anyone can look good in one random photo). I think they were being unreasonable and demonstrated slightly odd behaviour. This wasn't Blind Date last time I checked. |

Yeah I mean I'm not going to lie, I'm not the biggest bloke going, they're on a new profile, no verifications or photo verify... For all I know it could have been a couple blokes coming to smash my head in and Rob stuff from place... Really scary |

We won't meet guys without them sending a face pic,but we certainly understand if they don't want to,no one is forced to do anything they don't want,but that couples response to you not wanting to send is completely out of order

Yeah I don't mind sending a face pic of asked, I only keep them hidden on my profile because I don't want dave the news reporter on a slow day going on my profile and having a look haha |

For all you know. . . . and yeah, this is an actual possibility - it takes seconds to snap a pic and get photo verified (at the very least). I would block THEM and move on. |

Make sure you reverse block them aswell, otherwise they can unblock you, peep at your profile, then block you again.
And Yes, unfortunately it's against the rules to name and shame on your status. |

Agree entirely. We often think if people won't send a face pic, they've got something to hide.
True. We don't show our faces in public pics - because of Caroline's job - but we have them in our friends only pics. |

Same. We don't really begining talking without seeing a clear face pic, as people have said, it's not blind date. I can't understand why you wouldn't want to send a face pic. Not a naughty one, just face pics of both |

I've had the same problem with a couple:
They mail me out of the blue telling me that their having a mmf party and send me a friend invite (pics with no heads) then demand a face photo I said no they said no meet
I won't give a face photo without one in return and they had no intention of sending one
So I blocked them and deleted the tread |

I wouldnt show a face pic on my profile, and yes it is because of my job. However, not sending a face pic to someone you intend meeting does seem a bit odd, unless theyre intending meeting wearing a balaclava... |

Probably were agahst at a single male wanting a picture of them, don't you know it was them doing you a favour by agreeing to meet you ?
Afterall, they are a couple, and you are only a single man, you should feel greatful that they even agreed to talk to you.
P.s. i know not all couples are like that.
P.p.s i don't give out face pictures either, not because of my job, but because of my fetish.
I'd rather find out i was accidentally meeting my boss in person, than send a face pic, get blocked and find out everyone at my work suddenly knew about my fab side, without me know who told them. |

I'm guessing it was only the male you spoke to on the phone? In all honesty, you really do have to value your own protection. Not just women are a at risk. I know of a couple of men who have gotten into trouble in the past, thinking they were going for a meet and got set up. Good on you for insisting on a face pic of them. If they were genuine, but didn't want to share face pics, this is a very odd way to respond. Seems like you had a lucky escape OP  |

My question is - what stops Fab implementing some structure to iron out fakes from the start? When we were new to this site, we had a particularly unpleasant (and potentially dangerous) encounter with a fake. Unfortunately we were not experienced enough with the site to realise the ‘warning signs’ that we now see more clearly. Surely it wouldn’t take a genius to put some thought into how to keep site accessible for those curious & wanting to dip a toe into waters, yet also to not make everyone vulnerable to dangerous / harming encounters?
For example (and I haven’t thought this totally through) that you can set up a profile here & have access to site as a newbie. But not able to message others until you are photo verified & have given a bank card detail? |

I am with you on wanting a Face pic.
I had a Guy want to meet he only had one pic showing below his knees. He asked me for face Pic I said I'd like to see one of him he in return sent me a message back asking if I was some type of perv. Best of it the guy had loads of verifications. You don't expect to be called a perv for asking for a face pic in return.
Was I wrong in asking for one in return?
I now am very unsure about sending my face pic to anyone who doesn't first send me theirs. Or have more than one pic in the gallery to look at be it whatever.
