Why have two profiles?

Some members have two profiles,why? Surely this is deceptive to the community,should they state on both the reason why, or is it a method of hiding prefernces from other users or partners. I get the chatroom use and most use similar names in chat so that users know and chat is more open and trasparanent, |

Most have a cpl profile and a single play alone one it's up to them to b honest it wudnt bother me as long as they were honest about it and most I have found are .

I know that some peeps get fed up when viewing in a chat room if the cam on display is only one of the couple as the partner is else where, or when searching the meets it again is only one of the couple looking to meet.
So it should be that you have a couples and singles profile.
After all if you're looking to play as a single it should follow you're using a single profile, no issues with peeps mentioning they also meet as a couple on their other profile.

Cant speak for everyone else, but I have my own profile as does my OH. Plus we have a couples profile.
We post in forums etc. as a rule under our separate profiles. We meet as a couple or as singles off either.
Our profiles state we have a couples profile and point to it. This is neither deceptive nor false. There are no site rules that states "one profile to rule them all".
All our accounts are Silver Supporter status bringing in additional revenue for the site and helping to support it.
We do not feel the need to have to provide a written statement as to why we choose to operate this way. If some don’t like it, please don’t feel the need or urge to contact us.
Personally, I think there are more fundamental issues in the 'Community' that need fixing. Such as the number of 'Fabbed' pics that are actually just taken from Porn sites (despite the photo approval system), the number of fake profiles, the myth that the verifications system is some sort of iron-clad guarantee that the other person is genuine, increasing the safety of users (particularly the singles on here) to avoid stalker type behaviour, ing out the dickheads and the Muppets etc,etc,etc

i think as long as people tell u straight away why they have 2 profiles then thats ok, it might be a swinging site but doesnt mean we dont have a life and reasons 4 what we are doing and why, so just be honest and its no issue surely?? |

Yes your profiles pointing to the fact that you have seperate profiles is highly comendable and the way it should be the fact that some dont is more where i was querying,is it say to hide sexual preferences or to fit with other peeps preferences |

Maybe they think it increases their chance of meeting anyone

Also, one of the profiles may list his orientation as Straight, the other Bi.
Its to maximise the field of opportunity to those couples / singles who will not meet Bi guys.

I think someone will correct me if im wrong. You can have a singles profile and a couples so one couple could have three profiles (couple, single male and single female). Im just guessing that those that feel as though they want more are either out to mischief make or only want people to know one part of them and contradict themselves on both profiles |

Maybe admin could find a way to let people with multiple profiles to link them in some way.
I do understand the reason from the chat point of view, and noticed they have reversed the names so a little bit obvious...
I can think of a few reasons why people wouldn't want it generally known which is their other profiles...
Catch Cut and paste people
To have wider options (Bi on One Straight on the other)
To catch people out (if no pics)
To cause mischief

Was considering setting up an "Al" profile, as it's only me that posts on the forums when bored. We chat as a couple.
But the last time I did that "Al" got "Al" and "AlandPeggy" banned from like, everywhere.

We have 2 couples profiles - this one and the same name but with '2' added. The second one states it's for chat/ forum purposes only and points to this profile for meet purposes. Both of us can no longer log into chat under one id (we used to be able to which we actually found better, as we could both answer pms)
We have single (fem) meets from the couples profile - it works well for us and any meet requests up make it clear. It would be too much hassle running a single fem profile and couples profile - we briefly tried it and the single fem profile was overwhelmed with mail. Also this way any single guys approaching for 1-2-1 meets as opposed to threesomes know that I'm married and that he's ok with it and also means mail is hopefully more likely to be addressed to us both and there are no secrets from each other as read and sent mails are left for the other to see if we're reading them independently

Indeed, hence if possible to show they are linked would be good (but not for those with something to hide...). Many people have on their profile the name of their other profile. |

A while back we saw a 'couple' had looked at us, so we looked at their profile, They'd been verified by one other couple, and on looking at the verifiers it was obvious they were the same couple (or more likely, the same sad single). Same blurred pic of only two people, same sort of profile with the same spelling mistakes. |

one member I know of has a single profile and two couples profiles with two different men. Neither is her partner they are fb, one of them was made with one fellow, they fell out she kept the same profile and put another guy on it,and then made a profile with her other fb and the verification the second one has is from her other couples profile!confused me too!  |

Having more than one profile is allowed as long as you are not using it to deceive people ie to get around bans or pretend you are someone else.
