Asking for a fone contact

Now...
This is happening more often but I don't get the reasoning...
You chat for ages then it's look shall we talk...ok
So can we swap numbers....yes ok
Then you don't hear from the other party parties.....
Basically it's happened a few times in the last week
I get everyone can change their mind but it's like they just want to see if they can collect numbers whats the logic... |

It's why I use KiK initially..you can speak to someone via a cam conversation or phone call, without giving your number out |

We have a swing phone with a top up SIM, it's only ever turned on when we're expecting a call from someone we're going to meet.. we'd never give our personal numbers out to anyone. |

What's a burner fone"
He means like disposable. Not your real phone. Buy a cheap 10 or 20 quid pay as you go phone and give that number out. Either they call or they don't but you will not be exposing your identity because the phone is not registered. Just use it for these situations and never for any other calls. I would not even bother putting 10 quid credit on it, let them phone you since they asked for your number. If later you do decide to put credit on the phone do it by buying a voucher paid for in cash. |

Can I ask why not use kik, you can video call on there? I generally only give my number out now if I've checked (ie they're not insane) on kik and then arranged a meet and they are on their way to mine or a hotel.
This is mainly for my safety or incase they decide to cancel last minute or can't find me. |

I think unless I'm confirmed meet I only do kik these days. I guess my only reason I do swap then is because I live in a rural area. |
