I hate this term - we had this conversation last night - some girls can be a size 14 and look fat but others size 20 look just right - and missdeMena - your pics are gorgeous! Why can't we just say size x,y or z and leave it at that?

I also say 18+ I'm a size 20 and I am definitely one, I have a tummy and wobbly bits but curves in the right places lol
and Gruesome twosome, a few years ago I lost a lot of weight, went down to a 14 and sorry to say the boobies are the first to go |

You cant just go vy dress size for example a size 16 on a 5ft women will look over weight but if a woman was say 5ft 10 a size 16 would look about right
I think being a BBW goes more on your BMI than your dress size

Thats not true : )I have lost near enough 6 stone now.. I am still a c cup... just smaller around the back. I think to be fair its size 20 and up...
but hate the term.. you get big girls that are pretty.. you get slim girls that are pretty .. you get girls so pretty you dont notice the size..

The size went from 8 to 16 in three colours.
She was after a size 10, however the only size left in each colour was 16.
When she enquired, the owner said they would save her a size 10 when new stock arrived, as the only ones that didn't sell were 16's.
As for the O.P's question, we reckon it all comes down to height to weight ratio and how its carried.

Why thank you kindly. I dont mind the label BBW now, havnt always as i saw it as a derogatory term...but now i have a whole new positive attitude about myself, and i actually love being classed as a bbw!!! Though I would love to be fit and healthy, i couldnt give a stuff about losing weight...i love my food, i love my boobs, and even my tum is getting to be a kink for many of the blokes ive met from Fab, so being a BBW ROCKS!!!! |

no lol but i wouldnt wear a pencil skirt as i dont have the right shape for one and im sure im not the only women who thinks that way which is probably why they only sell the smaller sizes, go into high street shop sales and you wont see the same, its usually all the smaller sizes they have left and selling off in sales

I think the problem with a lot on here is they are looking for the cut off point between fat and thin, becaue thats the only two sizes a lot see, its like all the fat v thin women threads, not all women are fat or thin some women fall into the inbetween category
And to me a size 14 falls into the inbetween category, but as ive said before its comes down to your high too |

Ahh but then if you come to kingston the ladies clothes that are left are the 8-10's .
I'm a 14-16 and find it a pain to get clothes. A lot of the time i find that shops order more 10's 12's they get left on the rails and end up in the sales. Whether is because they dont order them in or they are the 1st sizes to go i dont know.
Its taken me a long time to be confident with the size i am.
Yes i've been a size 8 and up to a size 18.
The 8 i looked afull as i was all ribs and no boobs(this was me not everyone)i was always told to eat as i was too skinny. Would NEVER of dreamed of walking round with a towl round me yet enough walking round naked in front of strangers.
Its funny because i always moan that i need to loose weight but i now relise i'm curvy i've now got boobs for the 1st time in 36 years and im happy enough to walk round infront of strangers with no clothes on.

I don't know my dress size as I have not bought anything formal since the 90's.
I *guess* I am 18/20, and like to wear men's XL or XXL shirts.

There is no size measurement that makes someone a BBW, in the same way there is no measurement to describe 'athletic' or 'stocky' or 'curvy'.
BBW can be anything ranging from a tiny bit of extra padding to supersize and all the shades in between.
I think most people will know what category they fall into without any lengthy consideration. Put another way - if you are not sure if you are a BBW then you probably aren't! |

well i didn't count myself as bbw going from a size 12 to a 18 .But now i have read this thread am 5ft roly poly pudding wow! that hurt.i walk my dogs eat 1 meal a day and have plenty of sex yet i would say am not lazy.Yet i have always been bothered about weight since i was young and thought size 12 was over weight so never think it will never happen to u, i did .rant over but am ill with meds and other things making me put on weight i think ppl should just like ppl for who they are and give everyone a chance that's y socials are so gd for breaking barriers down.xx |

Look in the side bar of the forums and type in BBW you will find possibly hundreds (over the years) of threads started on this subject.
Size is an emotive subject and one of personal choice and there is really no hard and fast answer to what size a bbw is. |

Surely the problem is what does BBW stand for? On one site it is shown as Big Breasted Woman on here it appears to be used in the main as Big Beautiful Woman- which leads to further questions what is beautiful? I know plenty of people who are Fatter than average or recommended weights/BMIs who are stunning not merely beautiful, but then there are lots of people who are size 10 (chosen due to the song not personal point of view) who look like they have been hit with a bag of spanners- but then is beauty only skin deep? When does just an 'average' cock size become 'Endowed' or WE or VWE or VVWE? surely the issue on a site like this is: make contact with those who interest YOU, then see what happens, if it is a no thanks then respect the other person(s)'s views and move on? The reason for the post was I wasn't sure what size a BBW.
I believed it was a 14 but from hearing people views it more likely to between an 18 and 28.
Also learnt the average UK woman is 16.
The point of a forum is to get people views.
However find some people to be a little rude and no names given find some to agree with eachother all the time.

The bouncies are probably the nicest most down to earth people i know, when i lost all my weight a few years ago they never stopped me going to the BBWs bashes and i got down to about a size 10, as my weight crept back on i stopped got to chams for a while cause i felt uncomfy and when i did go back i have gained about 2 dress sizes and i had a few comments which made me feel really insecure, i rememebr commenting to them someone had commented on my weight gain and even tho they probably dont remember they made me feel so good with their but we like your fat arse comments lol cause coming from them its truely genuine, Mr B is the only guy who can call my arse fat and get away with it, because i know hes not being nasty and i have learnt not to take it to heart, if anyone else said half the stuff he says to me id smack them in the chops lol
The thing is calling someoen fat, or saying they have a big arse etc isnt really abusive, its the context in how its said that makes it nasty
If someone likes 'fat' women they wouldnt see saying that as a bad thing, we just have to learn how to take the comments

I doubt that most guys if looking at a woman wouldnt be able to correctly guess her dress size.....
I didnt used to have my dress size on my profile... Men were genuinly suprised when I told them what size I was.... Ive had many compliments and the odd abusive message...
I think some guys message me thinking I might be easy or desperate because im over weight, they are the ones who generally get shitty when you knock them back.... being turned down by a "fat bird" must really hurt their pride |

so now it looks like we should all put our dress size, height, measurements, weight and bmi (which doesn't work if you have muscle) on our profile so that we can be classified. Rolly Polly is not a size it's a senior dance group from the 80's. I'm a size 14/16, 36H, 5ft 6 and my bmi is 29. I'm an hour glass figure and i see myself as curvy not bbw. 100% correct. People forget so quickly  It also referred to being beautiful inside.
The thing I don't get is why the constant debate about it? Either you fancy someone or you don't? Why analyze it to the nth degree? Should we now debate "slim", "curvy", "ample"?
And what about men? Should we analyze all the different permutations there too? Bouncy makes some excellent points from a BBW perspective, but what makes her attractive is her personality and intelligence. Being a BBW is merely a bonus.

IMO it all depends on the height of the woman! I am 5'8 and a size 20. I would class myself as a BBW, because I am big, yes, beautiful certainly, and a woman! However, a woman who is 5ft tall and a size 20 will appear a huge amount 'fatter' than me as if you think about it her height to waist ratio will be completely different! Anyway, as everyone always says; Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so one person's BBW is another person's fugly fatty.
