High heels were first worn by men.
The fashion developed in Egypt, or that neck of the woods.
High heels were a status symbol - you must be a wealthy sort to wear them.
The fashion arrived in western Europe circa 1500 or so.
For 200 years or so, wealthy men flaunted their wealth by wearing heels.
About 1700, heels for women came into fashion, too.
Slowly over time, the male fashion died out. The female fashion has persisted.

There are some women who really enjoy men wearing heels, and other items such as lingerie. I've found from experience it's often those who have a passion for these things themselves, that they enjoy men in them and sharing the experience |
