So I have been thinking about this for a while due to lack of socials in my area. I know these things take a lot of organisation but as far as hosting goes, can you relax and socialise yourself on the night? Thanks

I find I'm on edge until late on as worried about no shows and wanting others to enjoy themselves.

When I host my Coffee Morning parties I always have butterflies in my tummy while waiting for first guests to arrive, especially if it is new guest/s coming. However once the first one or two have arrived and I'm busy getting the kettle on and organising the cuppas I'm fine.

It’s not too much hard work, after all, you are providing the opportunity for people to meet.

Have two or three of your friends help you welcome and introduce people, keep it light and friendly.

I’ve arranged loads of parties and socials over the years and I get to chat to everyone, I love it.

Yeah course you can socialise yourself. They don't even take too much organising really. I'd post in the forum with the time and date of the social, let the list build up itself, and tell people i'd message them a couple of days before with the venue. Then i'd message everyone in my topics and that took up most of my day but i'd say that's not too much effort.
