Face Picture

What makes me laugh is when people demand face pictures on first message, but have none themselves, or the public pictures are close ups so you can't get any idea of body shape, size, etc never mind face. |

I've had men send me messages, with no public pics on their profiles at all. So I do expect something when contacting me and I'd rather it be the face! |

No, not for me. A person's prerogative to show facial's or not initially & I understand & respect their decision...
Obviously, later down the line a face picture before a meet would be required, but certainly not on intial contact  x |

Definitely need it before a meet.
Personally, I don't have a "type" as such. Some people like blondes, some like brunettes, some like very slim people, some like curves so having a face picture to complete a full image would be a requirement before meeting |

They’re nice to receive in the first few messages, not necessarily the very first one, but quite early on..
Helps to see if there is initial chemistry don’t you think?

Yeah I agree. Physical attraction is one of the main drivers as people are looking for the whole package |

Might send one immediately if they/she are at a 'distance' but many members 'locate' themselves away from 'home' so I also look at how far they are 'actually' away if near(ish) neighbours I don't send one until I am either sure of their genuineness and confident of their discretion (or both) - but I am also up front about any reservations I have in my messaging. |

Not a must for us in any message. We always meet for social first so a blind date is kind of fun. Doesn't have to go further if no attraction from either side.
Plus considering how many people don't quite look like their pics it can be a blind date at best of times.

Not a must. But I will want to see a face picture after exchanging a few messages, and I will return the favour.
I usually get a cock picture sent in a first message which gets deleted and he gets blocked. It pays off to read profiles before contacting others. |

I think if you wish to have more luck in getting a reply then you really have to..
Think of your profile as a CV or marketing campaign for a brand.. YOU are the brand you want people to buy..
Marketing images sell more than words do.
If you want someone to buy into you the brand.. you need a good image(s) that they want to see. Then you need a good statement that will hook them into the brand, you..
Words with meaning that takes their breath away..
Of course.. people are people.. some are not shopping, some look in the window and walk by, some come in look a little then decide not to buy anything. Some will even get to the checkout and leave without anything..
It's life.. So don't be disheartened.
But start the with good basics and you have every chance..

We do like to see face pics but they don't need to be sent with the first message but helps to receive one early on in chatting, that way nobody's time is wasted. We like there to be attraction all round, not just the body but personality also, so if we don't click while chatting then obviously there's no point but then no point chatting for months then the face pics arrive and you just don't see yourself kissing them lol, so catch 22 |

I've met couples and single females without face pics, as they have me.
When I first started on this magical road, photos weren't really available, a grainy Polaroid at best sent with a letter, so face pics aren't important to me. I get a feel for a person over several messages whether I want to meet or not.
However I don't send one with my initial message, certainly if they themselves don't have any. If asked, I will send one. Those profiles that say don't message unless you send one, without having one themselves, I wouldn't message.
I think the advent of online swinging has made it more superficial. I tend to judge a book not by its cover but by its content.
I know this thread was aimed at the ladies so apologies for airing my views. |

I think Miss Amelia's point about it being marketing is where I am going wrong. it is my day to day job to sell/ train people to sell but I need to up my level on here |

It's not a first message must for me. I like to establish we're not likely to bump into each other in a work capacity first, and see if there's a vague chance I'll want to meet someone before I send one. I'd want to see one before agreeing to meet someone though. |

Always send a face pic in the first message as expected. But I do slightly resent the risk of outing yourself to someone you know in a small town. Tend to meet outside of own area. |
