Awkward situation of the day. Our manager has just employed a temporary worker who has been introduced to the team.
The last time I saw the lady, she was on all fours being spit roasted.
I can see that she remembers me from somewhere but I am unsure if she knows from where.
Should I pretend that I do not know her (which I am inclined to do) as I do not really want the office to know about this side of my free time. |

It's a lifestyle choice though and has happened to me where I worked with the female half of a couple I met in a club and we became great work mates as half the building was on here, just have a quiet word that you know where she knows you from who knows where it will lead! |

Don't say a word. If she approaches you about it just say I thought I knew your face but just not sure where from and just have a giggle about it. Mentioning it is not the right thing to do personally x |

If she is a temp and you are permanent you really should be hoping she has some discretion never mind you. She could be some place else next week but could leave you amid the shards of a swinger bomb detonation. |

Has happened to me before! A customer at work, I knew I recognized him, but wasn't til he he casually mentioned he thought we'd met "at a party near Heathrow" (Kestrel's) that I realized where from. It was a relief to know he was discreet about it, though my coworkers finding out wouldn't have fazed me.
If she might suddenly realize where she knows you from, I'd say mention that you think you met at a party once, during a quiet time away from coworkers. It's an added level of reassurance.
Unless she's really really open to everyone about this side of her life and might out you. |

Leave the ball in her court. She'll either
A: Not remember where she knows you from (Or not sure 100% its you from that night).
B: Recognise you but doesn't want to talk about it or knowlage it
C: Recognise you and approch you about it because she is comfortable with it.
A and B no action required, everyone is happy. If C then you decide what you say back and where you take it from there. |
