Hi everyone,
We are heading to Club Sx tonight and planning on having Sissy dress up for some fun, however we could do with some help in finding a decent cover-up foundation that we can pickup from the high Street
Would be great full for any advice and recommendations x

Colour matching will be more challenging, but my go to is Boots No 7 (with the match made machine in a bigger store I got a perfect match): Lift and Luminate is full coverage on me, fairly natural with a stippling brush, although fingers also do a good job. I've heard good things about Maybelline Fit Me as well (really readily available), although struggle to find a good match for me.
It doesn't always work, but Findation is a reasonable site for finding foundations that match between brands and formulas. |

... Although if embarrassment in public is part of your thing, do go and ask at a counter. They will help you.
Or swatch the cheaper brands (on jaw line, and go outside wearing them because store lighting is deceptive). |

Basically you need to buy a shade darker than your skin tone to avoid ghosting effect. For the beard cover Kryolan has a store just south of Covent garden. They are a professional (film and theatre) and medical makeup company. The amount of pigment in their products is much higher than high street brands. You can get a concealer cream from there which is one shade darker than your skin tone to use on your face and beard shadow and where colour correction is needed on your beard shadow you can use the orange concealer Dermacolour camouflage cream shade D30 (yes bright orange to cancel blue hues of beard) and dab it on areas in need of colour correction and concealing then blend it it. Set it with a powder you PRESS into it with a pad to avoid clumping then spray water mist over it to set it (avene or evin have good ones your can buy from boots). Also don't be afraid to ask the girls to help you. Especially in places like Oxford Street they are used to colour matching men. Feel free to ask for sample if you don't want to commit to buying, but don't forget if wrong shade you can always mix in lightening or tanning drops from the body shop. |

I'm no expert by a long way but I'd recommend using a primer first. It smooths out and evens out your skin so foundation goes on a lot better. Also apply foundation with a proper foundation brush, it gets a better coverage than using your fingers.
Hope you have a great night. |

If you get really stuck you can pay for a professional make up artist for about the same price as a decent bottle of foundation and they'll have loads of tips and tricks you can pick up. Many self employed MUAs work from home too. |

Or a makeover at some counters, the cost of which is often redeemable on product. |

A quick and easy to get high coverage foundation is Bourjois 123
Even supermarkets have bourjois counters so you can smuggle it in.
For ultimate high coverage, try Dermacol from Amazon in the gold tubes.
Swatches are online |

Boots are great. Benefits have a great pore lotion that is a great base for foundation. Cover stick beforehand in t section of face is great. Benefits girls have applied full makeup several times while I am in male mode and no problems
Have also used Mac foundation which is fine but not same level as pore and then cover stick prior to either foundation |
